Well I believe Nicholas feels going out is a great idea as long as his tail has been duly sniffed for the day and he has been given the appropriate number of minutes of palm frond waving, having a fuss made over him and the opening of cans of gourmet cat food until he picks his favorite flavor. And he is wondering if you can bring him some mouse tartar after chores? He prefers it raw and warm.

I always like to translate what the animals are saying, whether I know what they are saying or not! :ya

I also have a pattern - I wash dishes until I fill up the dish drainer thingy, then I stop. I do not dry dishes. Ever. So when it's full, I stop and go on to another chore. Probably not the best method, but it kinda fits in with kids who are always hungry. I'm not very efficient with my cooking prep - I make a terrible mess and use tons of bowls, pots and pans.
LOL. I don't dry dishes either. When I haven't had a dishwasher (at least half my life), I just let it dry while I do other things, come back and empty it and wash another dryer rack full :)

I'm very fortunate to currently have a dishwasher, although there are only two of us and roommate rarely eats. Now that I could easily keep up on dishes, I have the means to make it easier! lol

I have three big pots and one cast iron pan drying next to the woodstove right now, along with some towels and a TON of mittens, hats, gloves, heavy socks, and the little cloths I use for udder washing. It looks like a disaster but I know it is clean! And green! :p

So a couple months ago my Imooto came to visit to cook for her family's holiday prezzies. I had just finished a MASSIVE cooking and had plastic bins all over the place (I cook ginormous batches in the crockpots - I have two - and then put it in the plastics to cool in the fridge before I bag and freeze them).

So I laid out two beach towels in the living room and we were frisbeeing the tupperware (really knock offs - I'm cheap) in the general direction of the towels to dry. I'm sure it was a very clean process. The cats inspected thoroughly so any plastics that made it to the towels instead of the cat hair covered carpet were rescued by the kitties and given their fur.

Newsflash: clean kitchen alert. Had an empty sink for approx. 2 minutes :th
Next up - floors. Crud. The more work I do, the more I see I NEED to do. This calls for more coffee.

When DH is away for a job, I don't do the dishes. At all. They pile up, and its only me here.

The day he's due home, the dishwasher gets filled, the hand washables are drying all over the place, and there is a last minute rush to sweep the pet hair covered floor. :barnie

While I desperately want yard... I'm SO glad for my little apartment.

It literally takes 2 hours to do all the chores in the house.

4 for spring cleaning when walls get wiped down too and I pull things out of cupboards to re-organize.

Not that I've done anything yet today. I made it as far as breakfast and realized that took over an hour. It was a glass of milk and a single fat bomb.
