Bacon............I have a cousin who said he didn't understand why someone hadn't invented bacon air freshener.

I live about 15-20 miles from Benton's who processes the absolutely best bacon, hams, and other pork products. He ships his products to chefs all over the country including the one that serves bacon martinis. Alan Benton uses the same seasonings his grandfather used. And, when he didn't like the hog breed everyone else was growing around here, he partnered with some farmers to raise some heritage breeds.

So - buy local and buy the best................YUM

Check out Archie McPhee, they probably have one. I want to say they used to have a car air freshener that looked and smelled like a strip of bacon. Heck, if they make ones with "new car smell" why not bacon??

They do, they do. Bacon air freshener, bacon belt, bacon bandages, bacon wallet, Mr. Bacon bendable toy, bacon water bottle, bacon, bacon, bacon.....I'd get it myself but I don't have thumbs.

ha ha! my hubby has always said that ladies perfumes should all be bacon or motor oil scented if gals REALLY want to attract men! ha ha ha

so on today's agenda....

apparently some folks are gonna show up. good thing we got the house shoveled out. when i stumbled out into the kitchen this morning i thought i was in the wrong house!

and Nicholas is doing great. he was out and about with the other cats for several hours yesterday, is done with the pain med, and just finished the rest of the antibiotics. he's in good spirits and for the first time this week i slept the entire nite

but apparently i worked myself up into a total tizzy and i have a big ol fever blister thingy. so i'll look lovely for the folks i dont know and dont like very much (and no i wasnt the one who invited them *glares at husband*). i'm gonna tell everyone i was attacked by Turkey Bob. it makes for a better story then "i'm a nervous nelly who cant calm herself down."

hey D come and look at my kitchen and give me a B- for flyladying!

Yay for Nicholas!!! Boo for cold sores. Well, at least they have a limit.

I was seriously starting to flylady in prep for our trip and someone staying here to care for the critters when a very old back injury reared its ugly head. Ugh. I did not sleep a wink last night. I had to get up and walk every few minutes. I took so much ibuprofen my stomach started to hurt so no more anti-inflammatories for me. So I am commisserating with ya, ofg, a couple of days late. My poor old dog was getting more and more upset as he sleeps curled up against my chest. I was cold without him, too! Poor old man. My house is a wreck. Who will come help me?

mlynd, bacon and pork fat are both a major component of my weight management strategy! Cut the sugar, white flour, veg oils and hydrogenated oils, add lots of veggies, and watch the weight melt off! BACON!!!

the back thing sucks, maybe you can get a massage? ha ha ha ha ha ha ha and yes i think i'm funny.

After the funeral yesterday we went to Olive *Gag* Garden..... Everyone was eating 'light', you know, pasta with chicken or shrimp......a bowl of salad and just a couple bread sticks. Light uh huh.
Ladies gave me the stink eye when I ordered steak with double asparagus. They thought I was being indulgent and wondered how I stay so slim rating like that.
