It would be hard to have an OFG-cam when she is incognito. She would have to be ducking from the camera, showing only her shadow or her feet, or wearing a bag over her head in order to stay anonymous. That might crimp her style a bit, don't you think?

I don't get a chance to post much on the weekend but I have a TSC story very similar to OFG's from Friday (minus the pink juicy pants). We went to TSC Friday night to buy hubby a new come along and the kids and I were looking at the chicks, they had 6 bantams and 7 meat chicks and another bin of egg layers. I was talking to the kids about how tasty the meat chicks looked and they of course agreed with me when a lady walks by and says "Don't say that in front of them, they don't need to know". I just look at her and I'm like, "They can't understand me, plus those are meat chickens, if you want chickens for eggs pick some out of the other bin". They had red stars and leghorns in one of the other bins.

This lady was very insistent that we should not get those chicks and eat them. I tried to explain to her that unless you put them on a restricted diet once they were grown then they probably wouldnt make it long anyway. She finally walked away and another guy and his daughter across the way just laughed and said thats what happens when people dont know where their food comes from. My kids even thought it was funny that she was so insistent that I not upset the baby chicks by saying we were going to eat them.

When I told my hubby what had happened he just shook his head and kind of smiled.

Hah! Did you read my story in my pig journal last fall? A lady was walking by with her kids and I told the kids the pig's names were Bacon and Porkchop. She got very upset that I was scaring my pigs by calling them that! She insisted! I just blinked at her for a moment while she repeated herself and told her they can't understand English. Her husband looked nervous and embarrassed!

You really have to wonder about some people! I was at a livestock auction, and someone got all upset that the LaMancha goats had their ears cropped. I wonder what these people would say if they heard me talking to my "boys". The only reason they're still around is because I haven't had a chance to make my killing cone yet. But when I do.......

Cropped ears? That is about as funny as someone said they were asked if they could still hear without ears?



I've talked right to my chickens FACE that he was going to become dinner and it didn't register with him a bit.
