You need to change your journal title now tongue
aimt that right.. here it comes again.. rain rain and more rain.

DANG!

actually we may be having a little bit of a break but then its on again for the next next oh... 36 days. or maybe just the next week. boo!

DD - we are going to try another off shore manufacturing plant for the dolls with 4WD truck trencher. ha!

SD- you are sizzlin' hot baby!

there may be more victims tho... Nicholas is camped out in front of the kitchen sink cupboard.. he's laying in wait for his next mouse. ick. at this rate i'll never smooch him again! oh wait..he's making sad faces at me.. come here Nicholas and let momma kiss you.. eeeeeueuueuuwwuwuuwweee! ok i'm not ready yet.

Free - i was barely awake! i was out doing chores until 8:30! so that was a little ridiculous. i'm gonna get an earlier start tonite.

but i got my little tree-lets from the Soil and Water folks potted up. we just laughed when we looked at them again when we thought we'd put them in the ground. so - into pots and hopefully there will be some growth this summer.

the other news was that one of the killer beez from the front hive stung me! and they really went after Kai - i had to get gloves and take at least one off her. so we are going to have to move that hive. they are right by one of the gardens and i we cant have them dive bombing us. kind of a pain and we'll have to find a really good bear-proof/killer wind proof spot.

thats the word here!

happy friday everyone!
ps WZ, buttons? really... hummm...we could make a million bucks!

Our friend who has Gary putting together hives and frames recently drove to Georgia and brought back 180 boxes of bees - they're already sold. I kept wanting to set up a hive, but we get free honey from him, so I'm kinda glad I won't get dive bombed.

Wifey, are you making OFG and Nicholas buttons? I want one!

so

its storming AGAIN. the weather guy said that we are gonna get another 2 - 4 inches of rain...again.

good news is that my truck trenching is still working. and we cleaned out the gutters and got some materials to keep the downspouts from emptying too close to the house. so the basement is no longer in peril. hopefully. we are watching it like hawks.

i'm working on clearing more down by the pond. TBM got some more chain sawing done (yes in honor of earth day) and i got all the branches into two big burn piles for whenever the heavenly faucet is turned off and we get a dry day - if it wasnt for the soaking rains i could have planted a big swath with buckwheat and had it blooming for the beez in as little as 4 weeks!

also got the turkey house shoveled out and worked on espalier-ing (is that a verb??) some of the young apple trees in the front garden. whoot!

but now the thunder and lightening is getting a little too close so i'm signing off. yikes!

ps Nicholas is on the hunt again .... he's fixated on cupboards under the sink!

You might look up swales. There wont be time to do it today, but they help drainage and the underground water reserve for plants during low rain periods.

UGH! I don't envy you for all that rain. At least our last system didn't dump that much on us this time.
