hey Hen!

she's good - very very bored and doesnt understand why she cant help with chores or run around. we dosed her with benadryl but it kinda just made her loopy. still effective just a little loopy. i think she is seeing purple spiders or something.

i've been eating donuts non stop so my nerves have also calmed down

;-)

I feel your pain....
I've got my boy back home to keep "reasonably quiet" for another week. Fun fun!! Need to make some GF low carb donuts......

i dont think she understands hyperbole. or sarcasm. or knock knock jokes. i think i'm going to get a "joke" sign to hold up so she knows when to laugh.

she doesnt even know about my blog b/c she'd just correct everything i said! but she's been reading some gal's blog in San Francisco who has goats so she can tell me everything we are doing wrong with ours.

if she corners me on something i bat my eyes, look at my hubby, and say "oh gosh - i dont know, TBM makes those decisions."

i do it just to make her head spin around. i mean, what is she gonna say? its HER son!

oh golly. we always have a good laugh on the way home....

I use the "I'll have to talk to my husband" line ALL the time....whenever I don't want to answer people. I must give the impression we confer all the time and have these hearty discussions. Here is a view from a fly on the wall in our house on the topic of a great deal on apple trees I am trying to discuss:

Self: Hon, do you think we should buy those apple trees now?
Him: (staring at computer screen) Yea, sure.
Self: You do?
Him: (still staring at computer) Do what?
Self: Want to buy apple trees?
Him: Uh, dunno. (goes back to staring at computer)
Self: When, then, do you think would be good?
Him: Huh?
Self: When do you think would be good?
Him: For what?
Self: Buying apple trees!
Him: I want apple trees.
Self: Do you think we should buy these ones then?
Him: What ones?
Self: The ones from that guy.
Him: Hmmmmmm what? I'm kind of doing something.....
