you guys are slaying me.. sorry... i wish i were picking fruit and fending off bears!
in reality i've been totally sick and puking day and nite. its been a ton of fun let me tell you. i think i rallied mid-day yesterday... but today looks like another day of holding down the couch for me.
:-(
fortunately i've had plenty of help - The Insane Cat Posse has taken it upon itself to manage my near-death-sickness. so i've had lots of help from these wisenhiemers. apparently there is a great deal of concern that i might barf in their little box - so i've been closely supervised at every turn. and one of them is always standing on me.
but i have been entranced by cute chicks - we have a total of 3 little buddies in the brooder downstairs. hopefully more to come. i think another hen - Sienna - was getting in the doomed communal nest and laying eggs every day so we'll keep the incubator fired up for another week or so. Little Baldy is totally going to recover from being scalped - and he's just as cute as can be.
the goats survived being milked by TBM - but Nibbles may never be the same.
the dogs are bored with all this laying around. we spent some time sitting on the hillside looking over the pond yesterday. we've been trying to clear that area so we actually have a yard and its finally coming together - so it was nice to sit in the shade. of course with 3 big dogs panting and drooling all over me.. wasnt as relaxing as i'd hoped.
so thats the word here. water, pretzels, and hoping i felt better.
