;-)

hey Java - yeah it was a looloo for sure. we just got in from chores when it all broke loose. of course i was TOTALLY sucked into that stupid dateline real life crime thing and....lost the channel for the last 35 mins so i never got to see if they confessed and how much time they are spending in the clink.

hi Hen! workin' on the healthy thing... of course i'm making a pie (blueberry) to strengthen me.

:)

Glad you are on the mend. You need chicken soup:

equal amounts coconut milk and chicken broth
1 onion chopped
chicken, browned
chopped tomatoes or whatever else you like
lemongrass
red curry paste

Spice always helps my tummy after I've been sick, so I add a good dallop of chili-garlic sauce.

popcorn chicken pie???

Glad you like the recipe. It's one of my very favorites!! In the winter, I add pumpkin (pureed) or other squash, too.

Ooooh, that recipe does sound good. But I'm going to wait until the temps drop out of the 90s :p

I thought the darn humidity was supposed to drop today!

yeah whats with that?

its too hot to cook (well except for this pie i got with a big shovelful of ice cream) so TMB is cooking. thats right - he's ordering a pizza! ha!

last nite i put a ham roast (a smallish end piece from the big ones being sliced) in the crock pot - this morning i added green beans - that was lunch and its delish! whooot!

Humidity really makes for a miserable time processing chickens

Yum - add some cabbage and potatoes to that ham and green beans and it's one of my very favorite meals. With cornbread :drool

...and that reminds me that I haven't checked my green bean forest for a few days - we haven't had any yet but it's loaded with blossoms

:celebrate another chick!
