Wait a minute! What is a micro 'scovie?
I have a muscovy that decided to set a nest, so I just let her -- and I'll let her worry about brooding them. They do grow faster when foraging with the mother than in my brooders.

Dwarfism pops up in ducks from time to time. Someone over on BYC had a scovie she called "microduck" because it was so darn small. It looked newly hatched when its clutchmates were over a week old. It never caught up. It had a few health problems but made it to adulthood in pretty good shape last I heard.

ha ha ha ha ha - remember my little duck who 'really gets around'? we were laughing about this a while ago..... she was QA'a then she was Bourbon Red's... and one day when i was up at his place, i scooped her up before he could even say anything!

he called her Lady Gaga.....and we called her Bianca - for like a day... now we just call her the Garage Duck. she helps me milk every darn day - i'm totally smitten with her. she comes and 'talks' to me - peeping and stomping her feet until i let her get a sip out of the bucket (the hen/pig bucket! not the 'house milk').... i cant help it, i'm totally in love.

she's doing ok as far as health goes - you can tell she has some kind of slight defect in her legs...but she's so darn cute. she's probably half to 2/3's the size of a normal scovie hen. and she lays like the dickens for sure. one of the reasons we got rid of the drakes was because they nearly squashed her...and her baby from last year, Happy, seriously got mauled by those guys. our drakes were enormous. Happy is small - but not micro and its taken her all summer to recover. i love her too. lets face it, i'm a sucker for an adorable little duck.

but

dudes. there is no way i'm clicking on it... and there is SUPER-no-way i'm getting the "easy weanie" on my credit card statement!!! omg every time i think about it i get that horrific twitter pix of wiener's wanker in my head. its taken me MONTHS to erase that!! uguuguhghghhhh!

I knew it - there's the ads back. Good thing I don't pay attention to them.. I dont even go to BYC anymore. Those ads are in the middle of the pages (or at least they were).

Do you still have Miss Dash? My Miss Dash Jr. she....well....she....I guess the grass was greener across the road - and she didn't look both ways.

We get MAYBE 10 cars a day down our road - but they all drive like idiots.

and yep we still have Dash. she wants to set a nest so bad. every night i have to go and fish her out of the goat's hay feeder.....and she paddles her little feet and peeps unhappily... the saddest thing ever.
