Hi Patch!! :frow Thanks! :D Hee hee , you don't have to start your journal off with the questionnaire if you don't want to! You can start it off anyway you like. :)

Well I felt my first earthquake this morning. There was a 3.6 magnitude earthquake at roughly the I-240/ I-35 interchange. I was just waking this morning when it felt like something that bumped into our house like someone bumping into a cabinet and shaking it. It was really strange. I can now clearly state why earthquakes scare me so much more than tornadoes. I DO NOT want to be physically shaken in any way. I have problems with my vestibular sense(the one that controls balance etc) and I don't need any help in becoming dizzy!! LOL Good thing I was still laying down at the time.

It was pretty weird. I wasn't panicked, but I was still groggy. It didn't last long. Maybe 5 seconds or so. I was freaked out enough to go wake my hubby up. Like he could do anything about it

He didn't feel it. Slept right through it. :th

Haven't been posting much lately but have been checking. So the word "earthquake" caught my eye being a big issue here.
Around here a 3.8 would be "was that an earthquake just now?" They are really not noted much until about a 5. The worst I have been through is 3 seperate ones in 24 hours ranging from 6.2 through 7- on the third one, I just woke up, said "bother" and went back to sleep. You can get used to anything eventually-

I was wondering whether it was a real earthquake or the baby moving quake.

Earthquakes can be frightening. I've been through a few of them.

 Yep it's a big deal for us lol Tornadoes are old news unless there's a really big one(ETA or coming right at you lol) The thing that worries me is that we have the most fault lines in the United States (or some weird piece of trivia of that nature) I hope they don't decide to go all super active on us or something. :hide

Thanks Patch! :hugs

LOL dacs, nope no baby moving quakes yet. :pop Have felt a lots of flutters and a few decent jabs though. :weee :weee

In case you haven't seen this page, here is where you can get the latest info on earthquake within the last seven days.

Latest Earthquakes in the USA

It's interesting to check out where some of these take place, and how may happen within a week.
