I'm off my soapbox, but dang it if ya want something done nothing should ever stop you. Question is how bad do you want it? Bad enough to put YOUR money where your mouth is? or not?

I'm just sayin......
My money is where my mouth is: I buy my raw milk through a cow share program.

If they raised their price to cover a study like this, I'd pay more into it. I just don't think that wide scale testing will make folk switch over to raw milk any more than wide scale dietary tests will get most folk off wonder bread LOL.

And honestly... do we WANT corporations to get interested and ruin it all?
NOOOOOOO!!!!!!
Oversite is needed, but not on their terms :rant

Wow what a difference! The stomach content of the poor calf that didn't get proper nutrition made me almost want to cry.

I'll add my data to the experiment:
I adopted an orphan ram lamb and after 24 hours on colostrum bottles, he had to go on a pasteurized goat milk, pasteuried cream and raw milk kefir diet. There was no other choice. More goat milk than kefir according to the directions. Anyway, he is a dwarf now compared to both his parents*...and he gets sick often. I guess the kefir wasn't enough.

*Father was on property and I saw his mother's dead body, she died giving birth to his twin sister. Both were nice sized sheep.

Oh, and one more thing. His sex drive is little to none even when my ewes were in season.
I bet he was not particularly viable either :(

Fertility would have been an interesting part of that study.
We know rates are dropping in humans, male and female alike.

I have a pretty good feeling we won't be getting any lambs this time around. (Probably a blessing in disguise though, I so overwhelmed as it is these days.) Even if he was interested in the ewes, I don't know if he could reach them.

He does grow a fantastic Icelandic fleece. That is the only thing keeping him from getting culled.

Not sure that is a bad thing.

LOL.

While I think the conspiracy has much more to do with the rich just taking advantage and the big pharm keeping folk sick and needing meds, it's amusing to consider it from that point of view... trying to drop the birth rate.

I can't have kids, and don't think it's all that funny myself. Maybe it's just funny if you're not in that situation....

The vast majority of people I know with kids should NOT be allowed. And if it was my diet that caused all my miscarriages, I'm grateful.

Those few who would be good parents, I wish many children on :) I just don't think there are many out there.
