I posted this a couple years ago on an earlier pallet thread. It's entertaining, and I think informative, too...

I realize the images go by quickly, BUT if you're watching the Youtube vid, you have an option to use the pause function, at the bottom of the video view window. It has this symbol ||
(You just click on that symbol and the video stops so you can look closely - then if you want to resume the video, you click the arrow-point (start) symbol and the vid continues again.)

My favorites are the strawberry tower and most of all the big ole swing. What fun. It's not easy for us to find pallets. A couple years ago our local library did a class on making vertical tower for herbs, greens, etc. using pallets. I collected a couple and had planned on trying it but then I had to move suddenly and had to leave the pallets behind.

Here is my pallet project. It doesn't look like that anymore but it is my chicken coop mostly made of pallets.

Actually it was my idea but my hubby's work...You all know how that goes... He took every pallet apart using a salsaw.

That must have been a lot of pallets! Cool! I also have a hard time finding pallets... They're kind of desirable around here.

That's impressive! A LOT of pallets & work but if pallets free it is also cost effective. There are many locations around my area that have pallets to give away since so much product has to be shipped to them -- distribution centers & raw material for production sites. I could get almost all I would ever want but they would just stack up unless I had a project for them :cool:

Maybe I could get you to loan your DH out!? :lol:

@Mini Horses :lol:....

We saved them for 6 months, piling them neatly hear the build site. There are 2 kinds of pallets. We found that the larger ones work better for what we were doing so it took us a little longer to collect them. We will double that coop next year so the pheasants have a good home and they will have good chain linked area to run. Each kind being kept separately.

We have found pallets on craigslist, facebook groups, in the paper, and driving along the road. Love seeing the sign, 'FREE PALLETS", ALONG THE ROAD. This was a very cheap project...The doors and windows were in a discount bin at a lumber yard somewhere and the metal roof was used and free....Even the cement pylons that the thing sits on were almost free....I think the linoleum floor cost the most....So for the nest stage of the project I found that home Lowes has it for 99 cents all the time....
