This is our first attempt at breeding rabbits! I am hoping these three does are bred!! I am just hoping that the rabbit hutch is not going to be to cold for them this winter. The two lion heads cage can be put into the garage for the winter but I need some new cages for the meat rabbits if I am going to put them into the garage for winter...and I just don't have the funds right now to do that. We did use our old metal mail box, that the snow plow guy hit last winter, as a nesting box for one of the rabbits. I still need to find at lest two more nesting boxes.

I still have more canning to do. I have Two 5 gallon buckets full of beans that still need to be canned up from the other day.

My meat chickens still have a few more weeks before they are ready for the freezer.

I was given some fleece a couple years ago, and I bought some fleece a couple years ago at J's on Black Friday, that I want to make some winter dresses for the girls out of. I have enough colors to make them each 6 dresses. I can already picture them with a turtle neck, stockings, and their black leather boots! Now to actually make them!! LOL!! I just want a basic jumper dress style so they should not be hard at all...just a sleeveless top with a skirt. I would like to get a fleece hat pattern to make to match too. Sigh...so many projects!!

Always more to do!!!

The fleece dresses sound really cute. I did a trade with Moolie earlier in the year for some patterns. There are a couple that I am going to trim down for DD one is a jumper just like your describing. I think the girls will just look adorable. I am thankful mine still like to match. :D

My 8 bundles of slab wood were delivered today!! At $20 a bundle (delivered) I think we got a lot of wood for our money! :clap It feels so good to have it out there! It is a nice security 'blanket' for winter. I also like that it is there in case we should lose power and we have to cook all of our meals over a fire! Now it all just needs cut up.....

My mom and I were going to try to go out to Roger's Flea Market on Friday but now it looks like she might have to work. She won't know until Thursday evening. I need a Nubian buck to get my does all bred with so I need to be going down until I find one. Plus we just wanted to go down and make a day of it, so we will see.

The kids are chugging along on their schoolwork.

Someone posted this on their FB so I thought I would share...

Pumpkin Pie French Toast
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/8 teaspoon cloves
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons brown sugar
8 slices of bread
Mix all ingredients together, dip bread in mixture, and cook like regular french toast!

I cut my own hair again this evening. I cut off like 8" but I swear you can hardly tell. I love how my hair feels so much healthier after it is freshly cut.

I love fresh hair cuts.
:thumbsup

So when you say slab wood do you mean lumber? Or something different?

Glad school is going well.

I had a nice quiet weekend. My mom and I went to a baby shower for a cousin and his wife. I was surprised at how many HANDMADE baby quilts she got!! I think she got 6 or 7. Ok, I have to confess.... I hate feeling that I am EXPECTED to spend a lot of money ($20 is a lot of $$ for me right now) on a gift for someone I do not talk to and do not really know. The last time I seen her was at her bridal shower a couple years ago! She is a facebook 'friend' but she has never so much as side HI to me on FB! I did spend $13.31 on a gift including the card, bag, and tissue paper. I got her 3 baby bottles, a 5 pack of baby wash clothes and a hoody towel. Maybe if money was not so tight it would not bother me so much to get a gift for a virtual stranger?? I felt pressure from my other cousin (Daddy to be's sister) to be there. Her and I used to be best friends...that is until I figured out I thought of her more as a friend than she did of me. Once I stopped calling her so much the relationship kind of became more of a 'family' one instead of a 'friend' one if that makes sense. Ok! Rant over! LOL!

I am enjoy the sunshine today!! One of my goats has been battling the barber pole worm. Then another goat went off of his feed. If you will remember I spent $230 at the vet for wormer for this! ERRRGG!! And I am STILL battling it! Well, last Wednesday I got some chew tobacco and I started to give that to them. Both of them ate almost all of their feed this morning!!

I start a new part time job tomorrow! WORKING FROM HOME!! WOOT!! I am very excited about it and I am hoping that it works out for both me and the company. Right now it is a trial basis. 1) to see if I can do it without the baby messing the product up. 2) As long as the shipping costs do not add up to to much for the company. He pretty much told me I could have all of the work I wanted! That I am super excited about because I am planning on a 2/3 pay cut in about 4 months...5 or 6 at the most! What I will be making will JUST cover the house payment (after refinancing) with taxes and insurance, car insurance, electric, cell phone (in a contract for another 16 months), phone and internet. So I am really hoping this job works out so that I will have a little bit of wiggle room.

EDITED!
