My labors were very easy...the C section kept me down alot longer too. My DD was born in 15 minutes from the first cramp. I had two cramps and a push..and she was there...walked out the next day like you Pam. felt great..actually wanted to walk home but no one would allow it;.0

DH went out grocery shopping and I asked him to stop at Walmart and pick up TWO preemie outfits for the baby since I only had one. He came home with FIVE outfits!! (They are cute....even though he spent way more than I wanted him to!)

DH also went to the church to pick up dinner ('cause it is near impossible for people to get up our road) and when he got there two separate people had made us dinner. So, we have dinner for today and tomorrow! :)

I am feeling better today than yesterday. I was pretty wiped out after I got a shower and took the baby to the pedatrician but, I have been sitting with my feet up since I got home. My belly and back are still very sore when I move around though. I have not taken any pain meds today at all. 8 more pounds I will be back down to my pre-pregnancy weight!! :D

Only 8 lbs. That is amazing. I remember the pain around my incisions. I stayed in bed as long as I could. It does get easier the more you move though. No pain meds?? You are brave. But we already knew that. Dinner for two nights. Good for you. One less thing to worry about. Take care. :)

I could be carrying her like that! DH and the kiddos got me a sling for the baby when I was still in the hospital.

And I am resting all I can!! Let DH and the kids do everything! I just want to sit here and hold the baby!! :D

Hello!

Ok, someone explain to me the phenomenon as to why babies will NOT sleep in their crib/bassinet ALL night but as soon as it is day light and you are awake and don't really have things to do then they will stay in there all DAY and sleep without fussing?????
Baby girl is also latching on really good...well much better than I ever expected considering how small she is....but her new thing is to act like she is starving then I will TRY to latch her on and she will just go to sleep!!!! Like the smell of my skin knocks her out everytime!! Ahhh...the joys of motherhood!!!

DH went back to work today. I guess he missed a BIG meeting on Friday. The rumors that he is hearing from the meeting is that at some point this month EVERYONE has to take 3 vacation days...and if you do not have any vacation days left then you have to take 3 unpaid days off. They are also talking more layoffs. As far as DH knows he is second from the bottom for senoirity. But, his boss told him this morning that he needed to talk to him because when he took the whole week off last week his entire production line did not make quota just because DH's job could not be done eniterly by the night shift worker...so I am thinking that means his should be secure.
Thr frustrating part is that if he has to use 3 vacation days this month then he will only have one vacation day left until Sept. The company made him use one at Christmas time and then he took 5 off last week. We wanted to use one to go to Splash Lagoon in April and then I needed DH to take an entire week off in June so I could go with my mom and Betty to a quilt convention in VT. I guess the trip to VT is not happening.

On a bright note: I weighed myself this morning...only because I weigh myself obsessively LOL!...and I was 189.2 this morning!! I was 184 when I got pg and my top weight before I had the baby was 205. So, 5 more pounds and I will be at my prepregnancy weight!! YAY!! I have never had the weight come off this fast before. My goal is to be down to 150 by the end of summer. Softball starts soon so that gives me an insentive to work out and my mom wants me to join her weight loss contest class in March with her so that will be another insentive to lose the weight!
