I am working on a quilted sweatshirt coat for DD to match her Butterfly (Easter) outfit. OMG!! It is going to take longer to make than her entire Easter outfit!! Thankfully Betty is letting me use her machine with all the fancy stitches!! I have already gone through 3 bobbins of thread!

Love that Easter outfit. You are so talented. And to think, I struggle with hemming a pair of pants.

Yes, you did detect that tone of envy. LOL

I still don't have my machine out of the shop and set up here.

With this new grandaughter of mine I really have to brush up on my sewing skills.

Some days I think it is hard to believe that I could NOT sew at all one year ago last month!!
Right now I am seriously trying not to covet Betty's awesome Viking sewing machine! All the stitches and the different stitch sizes...Sigh!!

I have an appointment to take the baby to the doctor's this morning. She is all congested. She has had a runny/stuffy nose the last few days and it moved to her chest this morning. Being that she is so little I just don't want to take any chances of it being something worse.

Oh my, hope she is ok. Be sure to let us know what the Doc says.
Congestion in those little ones can be scary.

Back from the doctor's. She tested her for RSV, but did not think it was that because she was not having trouble breathing. She gave me a script for a chest x-ray if I think she is getting worse...in case it could be pneumonia...but the doctor didn't think she had that either because her lungs sounded clear. She did say that both of her ears were red and looking like the beginings of ear infections in both. She gave her an antibiotic for her ears and said to keep sucking her nose out and use a humidifier.

I forgot to mention...after baby girl's last well check visit I got another bill for $24.99! The association that my doc's office belongs to billed me too!! $101 with a $76.01 adjustment/credit! So with my $25 co-pay it is $50 for everytime I take one of my kiddos to the doctors! My mom and dad see the other doctor in the office and my mom says that she does indeed get billed EVERY TIME by the association up and above her regular visit payment! And my mom does not have insurance so she has to pay the whole fee!!

When our dgd was a wee one, dd used to put garlic oil in her ears for infections. DGD hasn't had one since she was 1 year old and she is now over 11.

I have garlic oil just for this purpose! I did not even think of that! Thanks so much! She is mostly just very snotty...clear snot. She does not have a fever and is not being fussy at all.
