FRESH home grown Strawberries.
Home made Maple Syrup(THE REAL DEAL!)
Home made Peach preserves.
Home canned Apples.

Sometimes I even put this stuff IN the batter before I cook them.

Butter ALWAYS.

Real maple syrup in the late winter when it's less expensive here.

Summer time, when the berry bushes are going nuts, fruit syrup.

Rest of the time, this:

3 cups white sugar
1.5 cups water
3 TBS molasses
3 tsp vanilla
2 tsp maple flavoring
1 tsp butter flavoring

Whisk together, bring to a boil, then cook on low heat for 5 minutes. Not as good as grade B, but way better than Aunt Jemima.

applesauce and peanut butter, or peanut butter and bananas if they are cheap. We almost never use maple syrup anymore because of my diabetes.

Well, I have some strawberry syrup and apple syrup (from jams or jellies that did not jell but make great syrup. The strawberry ones tend to get used in milk most often though.) and store bought syrup. I would rather buy real maple syrup but it is expensive.
