panning for gold ?

They even find gold and brown diamonds in an area near me here in Michigan. But they find more Indian artifacts than gold. That is even better.

I'd like to really pan for gold some day. Years ago, we took the kids to some place where you could pan for (fool's) gold. And, I discovered that I had quite a knack for it. They couldn't believe how quickly I was able to catch on and do it properly. I've always wanted to try it, and read quite a number of books where they were panning for gold when I was a kid. Maybe it rubbed off on me?
