Yum! @baymule those peas look wonderful! Fresh garden peas are probably my favorite garden crop. Those weeds sure do seem to like your improved garden soil! I've had to "mow" my garden weeds down too before I could get it ready for planting. I did better this last year by covering it all with some (free) 2 year old hay (multiple thin layers, added each time stuff started to grow through). The weeds are just starting to come through now, but I have been able to keep them in check this time.
@sumi, those ducklings are really cute! I bet they are a lot of fun to watch!
@Michelle71 Thanks for posting pictures! My chickens have dust beds all over too. You sure got a lot of detail in that second chicken picture! Nice catch getting each feather like that! It 's hard to keep things in focus when they are moving! You mentioned the weather. Where do you live? Welcome to the group!

@Hinotori That hummingbird picture is beautiful! And Leven seems to be a "model" rooster! He's got quite the face! What breed is he?

They certainly don't look like KC ducklings! Maybe mixed with KC? Cute, all the same! What will you do with them? Keep them for eggs, bug control in the garden, for fun, etc?

They are just pets and fun And fun they certainly are! DS have been asking for ducklings for years, so I hatched some for him.

Mine are for garden improvement, eggs, meat if they be males, and also for beauty and fun, as are all the animals here. God's glory shines out of each of His creations and I'm always tickled to see how uniquely He made each creature.

These older IR ducklings are really doing a lot of foraging in the garden already, so it will be interesting to see how much they do when the pest bugs really move in on the plants once they are truly growing and producing.

Nope! The pig ran off not long after, we tried to get it into our fenced area just so I could call around and see who's it was but had no luck.
Their fast little buggers lol.
The chicks names though are Spruce and Moo!
I thought I had pics of the 5 others we have that are almost ready to go outside but unfortunately I don't, will have to take pics when I get home.

The local dog catcher was telling us about getting a call for a pig showing up at someones house and they were afraid to leave their house because "it seemed mean". He went to get it and found out it wasn't mean, it was overly friendly. However, he had a heck of a time getting it into the crate. He had it at his house for a couple of hours before the owner called to report she lost her pet pig... Within 20 minutes she was there to get her pig. He offered to help her move the pig to her crate but she said Nah, I got this. She just let the pig out, it followed her to the car, she grabbed it in a bear-hug and stuffed it into the back seat. Lol

When I snapped the picture of that chicken, she was standing perfectly still. She stretch at the moment I took the pic
I live in Oregon. We got spring snow, windstorms, and then flooding. It was cold and fowl and then, suddenly, it was summer. It changed in one day.
