yup she said they were pure chins, definatly looked like pure chins too...mabe "giant chins" (chin x flemmish), chins if i remember right ar up to 12lbs but "giant chins" can easily get 16lbs. the male was closer to the size id expect form a pure chin...but the female was a BIG girl lol.
her last litter was aparently 13 kits (12 survived)

What are your goals with the rabbits?

the goal is a nice meat/pelt rabbit.
the rex's mature a little slower than most of the modern meat breeds (though they ere one of the origional meat and fur breeds) and are overall a little smaller than the common meaties. but they have nice bone to meat ratio and dont eat as much, they also tend to be great mothers with good survival rate on larger litters.
to bequite honest im mostly interested in th pelt and the meat would be a bonus rather than the other way around lol.
im also looking to hit a little bit on the pet/breeder side of things. ive learnt pretty quickly true standards are quite difficult to find, even the arba only has 9 registered rex breeders.
mini rex are a dime a dozen...but standards...

i definatly want to focus on the blue and opal colors for the fur too in brokens.

in the future i may try adding cali or NZ blood in to try and up the littersize and growth rate a little bit for the meaties
but right now the rex coat wins out over other breeds.
i also like the personalities of th rex.
(though i do like the satin coat too lol)

im thinking of possibly showing...but no idea here to start lol

well itsbeen a long day, (driving long distances makes my brain hurt) so i think its time for 1 lastpup potty break and then off to bed.
tomorrow got to get up and give the house another quick clean and give Dixie her "im going home" bath, her new daddy and gramma are supposed to be picking her up between 1pm and 3pm (depending on what detours gramy makes daddy take lol (her new "mommies" words lol))
gonna try and makesome weather curtains for the hutches tomorrow too if i get time and mabe even figure out the hay racks...itll all depend on what time they get here and how long they stay.

so yeah. time to bundle up for1 last potty break and then into bed!

Hmmm thats something I should consider putting on my hutches, do post pics!! Right now I have a feed sack tacked up for the one who is supposed to kindle soon.
