thanks, i find it a tad funny that theyve all gone to homes experienced with the breed, i also find it funny that all 3 puppies had to travel to their new homes...dixie whent all the way back up to Mass, Lil nekkid girls gone to Illinois, lil man is the closest and hes in Memphis lol.
theyll all be well spoilt, at least crestie experienced homes know what there getting into...this breed isnt realy a dog...im pretty sure there an alien species lol!

anyway, it damp and chilly out this morning...not sure what todays going to do with me, i do need paint to finnish the inside of the babbit hutches but given the first 3 are done i could probably make the fronts for those and get the lil ones outside then paint the others and the outside at a slightly later time (i use low VOC paint so it wouldnt be a health risk to the bunnies as long as they wernt comming into contact with wet paint.)
i also need grommets to finnish up the rain flys... (and make some for the babit hutches too.)
i DO need long screws to make the fronts for the cages, so i do need to hit up a hardware store of some kind and i need to stop at the bank so at minimum a trip into town is needed. but i would like to avoid going all the way to jackson or savannah if i can help it due to gas money...

oh and this morning im getting things all set for the babbits so i have to go out to get hay for them and i look over at my front door and guess what tempi had left on my doorstep at somepoint last night before i broguth her in for the night...a RAT...shes brought home many a mouse and vole and even the occasional unfortunate bird, but this is her first full grown rat lol.
she definatly does her job but what to do with the dang thing..if i throw it into the grass shell have it back to my doorstep if she finds it again lol. it is nice that she loves me enough to bring me these extra special gifts...this one even had its head intact lol

oh and i clipped the babbits nails this morning. they did quite well!

yeah theres something about the Rex gene that makes the nails grow faster than other rabbit breeds...its nuts!
the standard rex girls were very obviously neglected for a while so they are now going to be getting bi-weekly pedicures untill there back to a normal length (she clipped them as short as she could before i picked them up but there had managed to get so long theyd started to twist and curl to the sides and she could only clip so far back...so i want to get them back to "normal" bunny nails lol)

oh well...time to get off my lazy butt, gotta head into town, stop by the bank and check out the discount store to see how much their basic semi gloss white paint is...if its chepaer than lowes ill pick up a gallon if not ill wait and just get the top 3 hutches finnished.
(is sooo procrastinating...its cold and damp out lol)

well todays plan was to go to the bank, get paint and get the front of the 6 hole doen...
missed the bank by 15 mins (who closes at noon on a saturday?!), did manage to get paint (and a sanding soponge so i can also refinnish the shelf i picked up for my livingroom) and came home...
had lunch which was some of the 16 bean soup...but instead of having it with bread i threw in 1/2 a cup of the rice id made the other day and YUMMY! the rice realy made it something else ya know?!
then got changed and headed outside...
5 mins later i came back in...its just too cold for this little winter wussy, my fingers were not interested in doing ANY work today...its officially 37 degrees but the "real feel" is 32 and that is definatly below my fingers pain threshold...there stilll throbbing lol.
so that becommed the plan for tomorrow, its supposed to hit a high of 70 tomorrow with only a 20% chance of rain/t-storms so those seem like pretty good odds to me...gonna make all the frames for the fronts, paint them then while there drying ill paint the insides of the bottom 3 holes, back and second coat the frames for the front, then back to second coat the inside of the top 3 holes, by then the fronts should be dry and ready for hardware cloth and the fronts can go on :)

i also need to make sure i scoop out bluebell and acorns cages tomorrow...i need a large bucket or something so i can collect all that poop so i can easily dump it on the front bed when its time to start planting that up. curb appeal is th name of the game for my first none veggie plantings, the front of the house is so nekkid and theres just a couple of sad little hostas out there so its getting an overhaul...lots of part-full shade plantings (the hosta will stay in and get reused) the front of the house is mostly shaded so i need to get as much color as possible with shade lovers,
right now the plan is a climbing hydrangea and a couple of clematis (i origioanlly wnated climbing roses but theres not remotly enough sun), a pink parfait or 2 hydrangeas, a couple of oakleaf dwarf hydrangea, astibile, hosta and coral bells, im hoping to intersperse some mint, and lemon thyme in there too, im also thinking day lilles (some do ok in part shade) and as many dafodills and iris that i can fit inbetween.
i looked over this morning and it looks liek my neihgbor across from me has daffy-dillies trying to come up already...its not even february yet!

ive got to get to walmart on monday for seed starting supplies too...

spring fever big time!

Hey Pinky...you're in the sticks now too honey. Banks close at noon on Saturday IF it's not a branch that isn't even open on Saturday :hide

It was chilly this morning, but I got out and milked anyway. Claire gave me the evil eye :p I have alot of work I need to do before Monday morning. The next homestudy is then, early even.

chilly this morning?! it was downright COLD lol. tomorrows supposed to be lovely though as long as the t-storms dont hit too hard (20% chance) sunday too!

it seems so silly for me that an institution that relies on people putting money in and taking money out woudl eb closed on the one day fo the week that people with full time jobs would generlaly go to said places to take care of said things (like applying for a loan ect) lol.
even in the middle of nowehre people tend to work m-f 9-5 jobs lol...ahh Bankers hours...lol.

in other news, i need to clip the cats nails too...Tempi is very snuggly this evening and has been tenderizing me with her claws LOL!...she doesnt "kneed" she tendorizes...shes VERY enthusiastic about it and has left bruises in the past lol.

Well the main branches open, but the branches are usually closed on Saturday in the smaller towns.

That's just another reason I intensely dislike cats...the dang CLAWS!!! UGH!

i wasnt a cat person, but tempi and willow are awesome...lol. tempi left a huge great DEAD rat on my doorstep this morning and willow likes to save hers and drop them at my feet when im working outside, though she seems to focus on the mice and voles...they definatly serve a purpose and are relitivly low maintenence lol.

 EW! My dog used to bring in moles for us...still alive most times. It was the terrier blood I'm sure, she was great. I kinda miss her :( She was such a spiteful jerk some days though :p She'd pick who she was mad at, and chew their clothes while we were gone :/ Animals are so weird sometimes. I just can't have cats, they're so bossy, and DH is HIGHLY allergic anyway. I like animals that know I'm the boss....even if they do occassionally chew my new jeans  Cats just don't care, and I can't stand that about them.
