lol, aint it nice when they think of us and bring us gifts...
i think when you live with cats, especially indoor/outdoor ones it s a case of partnership rather than ownership lol.
i tell them there renting...ill keep their food bowl full IF they keep the rodents in check (and i LOVE rodents...just not the wild ones chewing through my wires and contaminating the feed and such)
they seem to be doing thier job so i keep my word...and occasionally they let their guard down and we have some tendr moments (theat usually leave me kind of tender LOL!) im lucky with mine though, other than the big voices when i wont let them out there both very low maintence cats.

well its 9:15am...ive had breakfast, everyones got food and water, so now its time to get off my tush, got to go get this 6 hole finnished up and feed/water/clean out bluebell and Acorn too.
those babbits need to get put outside, there so messy lol. i didnt know 3 little buns could make so much mess lol.

feels like 52 degrees my butt...feels like COLD is what it feels like!
managed to get the framed for the fronts made but my fingers were so cold i had to take a lunch break, 16 bean soup and rice for lunch.
after lunch will go out and paint said frames, then paint the bottom hutches, repeat for 2 coats then the cage wire can go on the fronts. i want to make hidey houses for them out of some "scrap" ply which will also get painted...just a simple 3 sided box with a "roof" to give them a dark spot to hide and a place to get out of any wind, but offcially once the frames are painted and the cage wire is on the top 3 cages are ready for the Babbits.

just wish it would warm up some quick...52 degrees should be fine working eather but it doesnt feel like it even remotly...

tomorrow im hoping to get the fronts built for the bottom 3, and get the outside painted. if i can get a start on the next bank of cages too that would be great :D, if not, thats the plan for tuesday.

and then the satalite whent out LOL.
oh yeah soooo ditching the TV at the end of the 1st year assuming the early cancelation fee isnt too painfull...i mean its windy out...but still lol

got a couple good flashes of lightning going on right now, winds going crazy right now, and getting some heavy bands of rain and this is just a little patch looking at the radar...theres a HUGE nasty red band moving through menphis right now...it might or might not hit me its moving north quicker than its moving east so not sure where its going to head.
I live a good storm but dozer is NOT happy about this first real storm in his little life lol. hes atching the window intently, the winds not too worrying, but the occasional thunder rolls were getting have him a little worried.ruby couldnt care less and jasper only gets antsy when he hears the trashcan trying to escape.
Willows in for the night but Tempi darted when i let the dogs out earlier...so im hoping shes found somewhere safe to hunker down or decides to come home before i decide to go to bed.

Looks like it is losing a bit of power as it heads this way. Hopefully it'll die down enough it won't be bad. we usually have a tornado somwhere close this time of year in this type of storm though. IF it gets bad you know to get to the centermost part of the house to take cover right? I hae these storms. I wanna go to bed!!! I am suprised I still have internet AND TV!!!

oh yeah, the bathroom is my "run to" spot (central small and no windows)
and if it were to get bad the neighbor offered the first week here, "we get some scary storms sometimes, if your ever worried come on over we have a basment and your welcome to take shelter if needed" so at least i do have space to go to.

one of my BIG future plans is to get a dozer in here and dig out a big hole in which to build a BIG earth sheltered concrete block cellar that would double a a storm shelter.
it would mostly be for storing food, but if had an emergency set up in there too with a cot, a couple of crates for the critters, emergency radio and kit ect...
ive already got a deacent hill already in place and building it wouldnt be hard (id have to have the blcoks delivered but ive build small scale concrete block structures with rebar and poured concrete before, but digging out would cost a small fortune i think.
it would take forever by hand lol.

suprisingly the TV came back pretty quick...
internet is cable so no worried about that and weather...
oh and Tempi came home...soggy and a little upset about the soggyness LOL but shes at least in for the night lol.

Good you have a place to go to. I want a storm shelter too, but with the high water table around here...mine will be GROUND LEVEL! FIL built two, one underground, and it has to be pumped out before storms, the above ground doesn't. I'd see what ya got over there first ;)

well i was thinking about leveling it with the current ground slope, ive got 1 level that my house sits on, then it sloaps back to about 4 ft lower than my house a little further back, so i was thinking about digging to the lower level then berming the earth back ontop /sides level with the upper level so i wouldnt realy be digging down below my lowest land line...just digging out the hill to set it into lol.
depending on the actual depth (i want the inside to be 6 ft tall so i can stand up comfortably lol) then id either completly cover it or do a green roof so it would look like a raised bed from the front/house...:D

the thunder is pretty cool, i love thunderstorms, but the wind is crazyness lol
and i aparently crave chcolate during storms lol. gonna make som toast with nutella as a pre-bed snack. lol

yeah seems southern mcnairy and hardin counties are going to see the worst of it...northern mcnairy where i am looks like we'll be out of it by about 2 am lol
i did see that there was a confirmed touchdown near corinth that was heading in the general direction of savannah, dont know if it died out already

im more worried about you guys down there than me up here...(amazing the difference 30 miles can make)
