Oh man, sorry about the ticket!!!! I do hope the rest of the month goes better for you!!! Maybe dad will come up with some of the money for goats. I think you are doing a great job and handling every thing that comes at you perfectly!!!!!

thanks...
i think its realy more furstrating on the ticket because ive NEVER had one (been driving 10 years and never ever had a ticket...) this one wont go on my driving record either according to the form...but still, my first ticket and all because i let some douchebag intimidate me.
never again...

i put a call on my facebook for my so call friends...

put "for anyone who said they wanted to get me birthday/christmas/housewarming gifts and havent yet for whatever reason, Pink Fox farm would be grealty apreciative of any monetary donations to be put towards fencing and the goat project"

see when i moved nooen could come to my going away party. but every single one of my frineds told me "oh once your all settled in well be sending over a housewamring gift" or "oh youll have to let us know what you need once youve got al settled in so we can send you something"
along with alot of my close frineds telling me before and after my birthday/chrstmas "oh when you knwo what you ened let us know so i can get you something..."

were now in ferburay and not one of them has sent me even a housewarming card...(these are folks ive helped move, bought gifts for ect...and noone could even come say goodbye before i left) so i dont feel even one iota bad about putting that guilt out there.

there all going on about how they want gift baskets when i start making things, how theyll never have to buy soap and stuff again how theyll be expecting all kinds of goodies in the mail...well folks...if they want "freebies" there going to have to become sponsors of the homestead...
they want FREE soap and cheese (oh yeah im expected to send it to them free) theyll need to help pay for feed...
im putting some thought into running a farm sponsrship program lol...they have to donate a certain amount every 6 months and in return theyll get a gift basked quarterly with seasonal goodies off the farm...but sorry, i cant afford to be giving away soap and cheese, (not that i have it to give away yet) but the short and sweet of it is those items will pay to feed the goats to make the soap and cheese so im not just going to hand it out, pay to feed the goats and ill send you ree stuff but untill then...

anywho its 11am, i need to figure out this months financials and make a list of everything i need...gonna have to turn the heat on again today i think, its gone chilly in here. (sweater not cutting it kind of chilly)

And if anyone here has or knows of anyone with a saltwater fishtank, planning on setting up a slaty tank ect and is in need of a good protein skimmer let me know.
I have a protein skimmer brand new in box, i dont need it cause i decided to stick with fresh water, so it needs a home and i need cash...

Pinky, I don't blame you one bit for that. Don't know what the legal driving age is where you live, but here, it's 17. And when I started driving, I was one of just a handful of kids in the school that had a car. The only reason I had one was because I paid for it myself, paid for my own insurance, gas, etc. (Though my dad would slip me a few bucks every once in awhile and tell me, "Don't tell your mom".) Of course, since I had a car, I was suddenly everybody's best friend. They figured I could take them home after practice (band, hockey, softball) and it would be no problem. But, in school, they treated me like dirt. I finally put a can in my back seat w/a notice on it that it takes money to run the car and if they didn't want to contribute to it's upkeep, they wouldn't be getting any more rides. The majority of them got offended and never asked for another ride. Of course, I still did run out of gas at time. I got good at pushing it off to the side of the road.

I like the idea of farm sponsorship. Maybe you should PM me the details when you get it sorted out?

In the dinky little, one horse town just south of here, they have one of those traffic camera's. Put it in telling the citizenry it was for 'traffic pattern studies' - Uh, what traffic patterns?! People asked if they were studying whether cars and trucks respected tractors and horse & buggies ( We have a lot of Amish here)?! Anyway, a few years later, they announced that the camera would start taking your picture and sending you a ticket. A large percentage of the villager's grabbed their pitchforks and went to the very next council meeting. The camera is still there. It may or may not take pictures. It most definitely DOES NOT operate as another source of revenue for the town!! Yay, villager's with pitchforks!

As for the zombie dream - do you write screenplays? That sounds like a good movie plot (with some tweaks to eliminate the Xmen similarities), and would be a fun way to make extra money ;) Then, when people ask what you 'do for a living' you could tell them you have nightmares, write them down, and sell them to Hollywood! Just a thought. I have written several screenplays/books - have yet to FINISH any of them, and wouldn't DREAM of sending them off to be ridiculed by editors/directors/my family :p Just a nice way for me to 'vent my weirdness'

Pinky, don't know about your area, but I've heard that in some areas, they've basically had to stop using those cameras. Why? People would lend their car to a friend, said friend would run a bunch of lights and they'd get all these tickets in the mail. And, there was no way the court could prove that the owner was driving the car.

I also don't know if you could fight the ticket under the circumstances. Several years ago I had to swerve to avoid a car that came over the center line. I hit the only patch of slush on the road and hydro planed. I hit a tree doing about 50 mph. Totaled my truck and I got 4 cracked ribs, probably from the air bag. I didn't even remember the car until my daughter, who was w/me said something about it. I also never talked to a cop at the scene of the accident. By the time the cops got there, I had been taken by ambulance to the hospital. I was given a ticket for careless driving. As far as I was concerned, I had done nothing wrong, so my daughter and I went to court to fight it. At first, they didn't want to hear it. Then I asked something along the lines of, "Next time I have something like this happen, do you want me to have a head on collision and let someone get hurt if not killed?" As soon as I said that, they dropped the charges and I only had to pay a $15.00 court cost. I had no problem paying that. It was much cheaper than the ticket and the higher insurance I would have had to pay!

And, I hate those cameras. Years ago, I had to pick up my daughter from camp. In order to get to the camp, I had to go across the Delaware Memorial Bridge. It was the weekend of July 4th. I got over the bridge, paid my toll, even talked to the toll taker for a moment, got past the toll booth and got into bumper to bumper traffic. I got something in the mail stating that I hadn't paid the toll! Believe me, I called. They said they'd look into it, and that was the last I ever heard from them. If they had tried to get me to pay the toll again, I was going to get a receipt every time I went across the bridge. Sure, it would have taken me a little longer, but then if that ever happened again, I'd have proof that I had paid the toll.

Pinky I have wondered a couple times if I had one in the mail too :hide Folks are bad about tailgating around here...DH is one of them, which is why I don't let him drive often when I'm riding :p It makes me anxious!!! Sorry you got a ticket :( :hugs

thanks guys...

Lol deb my mum made my sister put a jar in her car, her frineds use her all the time for rides and shes having to skip paying her cell bill so she can pay for gas...dad was getting realy tired of it so now her frineds have to pay for rides...i dont know if she enforces it or not but dad has told her if she doesnt start paying her fair share (at her age both me and my brother were paying them rent as well as our own bills) then the celly phone goes completly bye bye (as in canceling the contract bye bye not just no phone for you) he gets a free phone with work and mum barely uses hers and neither does my brother so they could both get pay as you go...

the ticket sucks but i guess its part of being a grown up, im not yet sure if im going to fight it...technically i did fail to stop for a red light, technically its my own fault for not correctly judging and predicting the light pattern and slowing down in time to force mr tail gater to get off my tuckus...
tailgaters fighten me...i get so claustraphobic when someone gets up on my tail end and i do tend to enter anxiety mode. my usual reaction is hazards and slow down...they want to pass me they can, ill pul over if its safe but this guy was so close i didnt even have the option of moving over and it was a 3 lane road, he could have eaisly gone around me...but that would of course be inconvenient...

oh well.

the good news is today i got my tush out, got my grocery shopping done.
picked up dog food, rabbit food (and it was cheaper by $2 than tractor supply) shavings, cat food, some more hangers for the closet (i needed those and at $2 i couldnt say no lol) and $140 worth of groceries, saved $50 in coupons so paid $90 and change total...got it home and put it away and it doesnt look like over $100 worth of groceries...but i guess it never does does it?!
but i do have enough food stuffs now to turn my freezer ful of meat into actual meals. YAY food.

i also picked up 2 more angelfish and 3 ottos with the last of my birthday money from my sister, so fingers crossed that they do well, there the same size my current angel was when i got him, but my current angel has grown alot since then lol...
id like 1 more angel and 3 more ottos and then the tank is officially complete but that'll wait.

talked to the folks at the savannah tractor supply and they have no way of delivering but if i can find a pickup truck they cna load up to 3 pannels with no problems...so ill have to see, gonna ask at jackson first and price up how much it would be to simply build a structure in 1 spot out of ply and then walk them to wherever ive got fenced for the day...might be simpler than trying to futz with getting the cattle pannels home when its time.

walmart has started putting out their garden stuff (this means spring is officially on its way, but didnt have any peat or manure bales, gonna call the jackson one to see what they have as i do need to start prepping those planting beds....
but seeing the garden stuff start to go out always puts a little smile on my face so it helped my yucky mood.

but yeah, that was my day...just sat down with a glass of water, gonna chill out for a while before making dinner.

i realy should think about writing down some of my dreams, i have some deifnate doozies that make even my dream interpirtation skills go WTF lady?!

Wait...you're gonna BUY poop?! Around HERE? You need to talk to some of the old farmer's up at the little store there below your house and find out who has cows and load up some trash bags and a shovel sis. That'll save you a bundle!

the only problem is i need it to be magically mature...if i can get hold of some already composted stuff by the trashbag full that would work though LOL...i need growing medium and lots of it before march for the raised beds. even if i do in ground ill need alot of peat and compost to ammend what ive got...theres a 2" layer of semi brown stuff over lots of red stuff lol. im pretty sure at some point the brown stuff was probably good topsoil LOL!

well its a rather soggy day today...pretty heavy last night...
good news is, rabbit cages were relitivly dry, a few drip in spots but i cant make them 100% watertight when theres breathing animals inside LOL.
donned my work boots and rain coat for feeding this morning so at least i stayed dry in the process too.
of course this means ruby wil now refuse to go on the "grass" for the next 3 days lol. she hates getting her feet even slightly damp so the dirt becomes lava untill its all dried out again.

rain means no idea what im doing today, will probably just potter around online...
i do have to pull out the chicken thighs ive got defrosted and get them prepped and marinated then into the crockpot a little later on...(going to do that lime chicken i did last time that was yummy, then i can use 1/2 of it for enchiladas and 1/2 for the lime chicken and rice.

i also need to make up another batch of doggy breakfast. this week there getting brown rice as opposd to white and will be getting not only chicken breast but chicken giblets in there too...so that all needs to get sliced and diced and boiled and such...

So ill probbaly spend my morning in the kitchen and my afternoon pottering around online lol.
