Hooray for new paint!

I'm sure the rest will fall into place, it just takes time :)

We're in the midst of organizing our bedroom better as well, it always seems to be the dumping ground for stuff that doesn't have a home elsewhere so we are clearing out and have made a pact to keep our room just for us and the things that should be in a bedroom. Going for more of a zen feel than an "every flat surface has piles of stuff on it" feel.

that is unfrtunatly exactly what my bedroom has become "oh people comming over, toss it all in there"
"oh ignore that piel of clothes noone ever sees in that room" ect... and i realize that all that clutter and chaos is not good in the room of the house in which im upposed to feel calm and peacefull.

plus its always nice after being in my house for a year to have another room feeling like its mine...Im slowly making this house MY home and its amazing how a simple coat of paint can set that in motion so easily.
and im seriously loving this olympic one paint...as logn as you load your roller up good with it and dont be stingy it realy does fully cover in 1 coat and even though its not a low VOC it realy is low odor compared to many ive used.

the house is getting there slowly but surely, i want to put a "top" on dozers crate and some shelves above to make a small desk area and a top on jaspers crate (jasper and ruby are now at the side of my bed) to act as a bed side table.
then with the cabinate/draw stacing things i want it should give me more than enough storage in there to take off some of the overflow strain in the back bedroom lol

I love that feeling as a house becomes mine :)

This is only the second house we've ever owned, but we had several apartments prior to our first house and it was always so nice to put up our own curtains etc.

Being able to paint was a huge step once we owned, you're just going to love going to bed in your "new" bedroom tonight!

well the walls have mostly dried nicely, few spotsi need to touch with the paintbrush...
but ill need to competly re-do one wall come spring. its the wal im having the moisture issues with. i thought it was because of the ventless gas and a lack of airflow...BUT the paint on just the lower half of the wall in a few spots has not yet dried (everything else has)...this means ive got actual cold spots on that wall which means theres a problem with the insulation in that wall.

So theres a job added to my spring list, ill have to remove the drywall on that wall and put new insulation in...
ive got 1/2 a gallo of the paint left so more than enough when i do it to re paint that wall to match the room...but still annoying. toay ill just take the brush to it and smoothout the drippies in that area...it will eventually dry...but not quickly.
otherwise though im realy happy with the color!
next up...the guest bedroom but that wont be untill the end of the week at the earliest, need a new roller head.

just finishing up breakfast, checking online stuff and then ive got to go to town...Car stuff due. $50 i realy dont want to end on somehting so silly, but i cant NOT have a car so that gets paid today.
will also stop in walmart to pick up some bits, going grocery shopping in jackson with A tomorrow (and picking up her new foster puppy) but she hates walmart so ill do that stretch today while im in Selmer.
and yeah...thats the plan.

well back from morning away form home chores...
why is it so easy to spend money?!

the walmart in selmer has the closetmaid drawers i want...so end of this month im planning on going and getting them...ill get 2 sets which will give me 4 drawers, and 1 of the little shelving units to go with it, then i dont have to replace the cabinate that i got for the bathroom so win/win. :) and itll give me 4 shallwo drawers (which shoudl be easier to keep tidy) rather than 3 deep ones that are currently in the set i need to fix.

and they didnt have the wet cat food i usually buy (i spend a little more on good dry and getcheap wet and supliment that with real meat) so i stillhave to run in the jackson walmat tomorrow, but i did get evrything else i need, a new bulb for the bedroom fish tank and goldfish food for freckles (my betta died (he was old i brought him with me from ct and had him about 7 yrs before that!) so i replaced him last month with a little calico ryunkin (who will eventually get moved into a pond im planning to build before next spring)
and there were a couple of very dry indoor plants on the clearance rack, they ook pretty health considering they had been left to go bone dry $1 a peice so i bought the 2 nicest looking ones perfect for low light conditions for the bedroom which are now hanging on the wall in a nined basket wall hanger i picked up last year for 50cents at a yard sale :D
id like to get some more live plants for around the house, its good for the air and i think it adds good energy to the house.

i found a calender with enough pictures that i REALYlike that i might buy it and some frames at the end of the month and use them for artwork around the house $5 and i get 12 prints i can frame, would cost me a small fortune if i bought them as artwork lol.

need to measue and price up for shelves for the bedroom tomorrow too at lowes. i want 2 @ 48" long and 1 small one a 12x12 would work, just to mount above jasper and rubies crate as a bedside table. and then i need to pick up a peice of board to make a "top" for dozers crate which is 48" long and about 3ft deep.
i figure ill need ot get it a little wider than doers crate and put a corner leg on it like i did with the one i made for the kitchen
wont be buying that tomorrow, but want to price everything up so i know what i can do and when.

got home, got msot stuff put away (still ned to unload litter and critter food from the trunk) and put advantix on everyone except tempi who probably wont be back home untill nighttime...

the rest of today is planned to be fairly quiet, will probably take the tree down and get the christmas stuff put away soon

You need to come over here and "shop" lol I have half the stuff on your "want" list just taking up space!! I seriously do have an extra aquarium light, and no aquarium...probably have the shelves and stuff too. I know a place probably WAYYY cheaper than Lowe's to custom cut shelving for you too. you should come see meh...but not tomorrow afternoon, you won't see much if you come then, since I won't be here... :p
