ETs always appear and communicate to those in remote areas. Could you imagine the mayhem if they made themselves known to thousands or millions of people all at once?

I miss sitting outside at night and just watching the stars. Where I live now, we are close to the small local airport, and between 2 small towns. So we get just enough light pollution to not be able to see the Milky Way. :(

I absolutely love looking at the stars in the sky. I keep the shade open so I can enjoy the night time sky. Will often star gaze when I should be sleeping.

Psalm 19: 1 - 6

1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
5 It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber,
like a champion rejoicing to run his course.
6 It rises at one end of the heavens
and makes its circuit to the other;
nothing is deprived of its warmth.

For that matter, I absolutely love everything I see outside. Today, I was outside for 2 hours, just puttering around in the yard. High temp today was 23*. Not bad for January. By the time I came in, I had popsicle toes. But, the sunshine on my cheeks, the occasional chirp of a bird, the chickens enjoying their sunroom, even checking the soil (frozen still) in the green house gave me great pleasure. 2 hours later, I'm sitting at the computer, waiting for my core temp to come back up so I can go out again.

:woot Good post, LG!!! I love those verses and find many truths in them. I too love the night sky and have grown entranced with sky gazing these last many years, unable to tear myself away at times. Such beauty!

CC, as for your post in an other thread about the sounds heard from outer space: It's my belief that these sounds are attested to in the above verses. It's my belief that what is now able to be picked up by modern instrumentation is all of creation worshiping the creator.

No ETs around here yet. Just this strange lil fellow that came with the house. I think he french but can't be for sure, he's a heck of a gardener though so I'm cool with him being around. I keep tell him to put some clothes on before he freezes his wieners off.

He also has a strange way of getting around.

I remember on summer night - must have been in fall of 1982 or so. We were sitting on the hill at my cousins place and we were watching a couple of lights flying through the sky to the northwest of us. They definitely were not planes as they changed direction instantaneously and their speed varied so much. They would zip one direction, then fly off at a entirely different direction - like flying due east, then -zip- flying off to the north-west. They stayed in the same area off in a rural area with cabins and lakes and woods. Lots of woods.
