there is a lady in my area that is selling 39 wide mouth canning jars for 8.50

which equals to a lil over .21 a piece

should i ask if they come with lids and so forth

this will be the first time i am buying canning jars and have no idea if this is a good price

I think that is a good buy, brand new mason or kerr jars by the dozen average 9.00 or more in my area. If she does not have the rings/lids available they are easy to find. Just make sure they are actual canning jars not recycled mayo jars etc. JMO

if i were to find the flat part lid and the screw lid at a thrift store or something could i use them even if they were used

The screw on ring yes, the flat portion needs to be replaced every time oyu can.

come to find out she only has 27
12 are brand new with rings and lids and
the other 15 are just the jars
and she dropped it it 5.50 which is a lil over .20

yesterday i got an exterior full glass door with casing and the squiggly door knobs on it for a grand total of 20.00

and an adjustale dress form to sell my ebay clothes for a grand total of 5.00

2 awesome harbor breeze fans for 20.00 a piece and they were still selling on the website of lowes for 289.00 and 359.00

Get this, you guys.....my mother was contemplating leaving most of her canning jars with the house she is selling because I have so many!


Anyone need some canning jars? I told her that I knew plenty of folks who would come and get them if she didn't want them!

She probably has a couple hundred jars...or more...I don't know.
