We'll that nasty snow came down heavy for about 2 hours. I had to go rake 3-4 inches off the silkie roof and find the boards to prop the roof to make it even more stable. You know, just in case it decides we need more.
Roads are crap around here. Hubby doesn't think he can get to work tomorrow morning because we know how long it takes them to get it all plowed at least.
Community group on Facebook says the roads are ice.
Lots of idiots in the car eating drainage ditches. A semi with trailer will fully fit in the one down 224th. We've seen that happen.
Some moron decided they just had to haul a single wide up Graham Hill this afternoon and got it stuck halfway up.
Cemetery Hill with it's 8% grade and curves is impassable. You might be able to slide down it, but are more likely to end up in a ditch. Some developer decided a subdivision was a good thing to put in halfway up it so that's too many idiots without AWD or 4X4. Plus lack of chains. They can barely handle it in the summer.
Not the clearest picture but Mom wanted to know how deep and I had to clear silkie roof again. The table I forgot to put up is the best spot. That's 8.25 inches at 8:57pm. It's still snowing.
Nothing like Alaskan gets, but for here it's quite a bit.
It is 14 out right now, it feels like we are back in Central Oregon hahahaha AKA-Ice Land.
The power was off for 13 hours. It is going to be a lone 2 weeks I think. More of this weather to come
It did snow all day, this was at 7:30am yesterday
Roads were packed snow in lighter traveled areas. Slushy to tire cleared in others.
We only went just into the edge of town and the auto parts store. Meridian wasn't even plowed that I could see.
Someone who shall be forever shamed hit "wipe" on accident yesterday when he started his truck to warm it before scraping. The almost 2 inches of ice disagreed and bent the wiper blades horribly.
Hubby doesn't have snow proof boots so he sucks for helping around here. Next time we're at feed store I'm fixing that. The Bog boots I use are wonderful and my feet stay warm though I do wear wool socks year round. I get at least 2 years of use out of them.
