2012 is already on Netflix Instant. Yes, it is that bad of a movie. The reviews are scathing - this is from people that would watch only anything. If this has anything to do with the perdiction, who knows.
Really? That bad eh? What a waste of money.
I should retract some of that statement. It was really another movie by the same name. (Really should fully read and think before I post.) Still, with the crap Hollywood has been pumping out, it probably will be bad.

This may help, Top Ten Ways To Destroy Earth:
http://www.livescience.com/technology/destroy_earth_mp-1.html

Gives the Scenario, method, Earth's final resting place, earliest feasibility completion date, and sources.

My theory is that in a massive self sufficiency act, the majority of Earth's northern hemisphere's population bakes fruitcakes as Christmas presents which are supernaturally heavy and either tilt the earth's axis from the sudden weight or alter it's orbit. :p
It's all the saved National Geographics.
Those are heavy, aren't they?

First of all the Mayan calendar is highly accurate and they knew about planets that us modern folks didn't figure out till the last 100 years...

This movie 2012 is just fear mongering, and a cash in by the media industry. I assure you the mayans do not believe that it is the end of the world, just the end of the world as we are accustomed to.

It is an end of a cycle, actually a window of time marked by 2012 on the winter solstice... it is when our solar system comes into glactic alignment with the center of the Milky Way...

If you don't believe it then you need to brush up on recent developments in astromony (not astrology) and mayans were into astronomy, not so much astrology, but there was some of that too but heck, astrology is based on astronomy for which they were many many centries ahead of their time.

This time frame also coinsides with the Vedic prediciton of the end of a Yuga, which is a measure of time. They say we are ending a 26 thousand year cycle, that has 2,000 year incremental cycles, and The birth of the avatar Jesus Christ marks the last short cycle we are nearing completion of.

So the mayans and far more ancient vedic writings are predicting the same thing., Yes, something is happening but just how it will affect our planet and humainity remains to be seen. It will be an energic shift... many are predicting a massive awakening of consciousness.... which would be nice, don't you think?

Should we not hope and pray for the best everyday and become the change we want to see? No matter what change is coming. Only you will make a positive change in your world that is really worth anything to you.

Pffffft. Hogwash. Nonsense I say.
EVERYONE knows that there was only ONE fruitcake ever baked in ALL of eternity. It has merely been passed around, from person to person, family to family, every year at Christmas time. :plbb

I have a good friend that actually believe that the world will end in 2012. He states that he knows it is as fact, and is adamant about it.

Both his mortgage, and his current car loan are paid off in January 2012. He says that since it will be the first time in his adult life (he's now 72) that he has no note to pay, it just figures that the world will end and he won't get to enjoy being debt free.

I'm thinking about sabotaging his car. ;)

The world ends every day for millios of people.

It is only a fear issue if you do not know that your soul is immortal
and ye are gods in the making. The end or the continuance of the world is not what we should be concerned about but forever our growth in love and conciousness to our last breath and our soul takes flight.

' I say to you, he that believeth in me, the works that I do, he also shall do: and greater than these shall he do. 13 Because I go to the Father: and whatsoever you shall ask the Father in my name, that will I do: that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you shall ask me any thing in my name, that I will do.'

with that being said, I suggest that fruit cake be permanently banned and forbidden by all religious institutions for the collective safety of humanity who have little faith.

I just saw a Discovery channel thing on mayans and 2012
and then I saw another special on History channel the other night. of course 2012 stuff is huge now on tv.

while they "were good" there is no way the mayans can predict this.

"they", both tv shows which were good ones, just stated that they are following possible catastrophic climate changes etc. that might effect the world.....so while it is like 99.9% false, there is that 1% they hit it right, kinda like a jumbo lottery win..LOL

for me, watching these specials with science behind it, I still say no way....but oops again if wrong.:p
