I made a saline solution, which I have been using in here eyes, just to keep them lubricated. She tolerates them quite well. She will obviously be taking a trip to teh vet, jsut so I know how to best take care of her eyes. They do not fully close, so the area that is always exposed is damaged, shich I believe is where her blindness comes in.JRmom said:I had a Basset Hound who had "dry eye" - he would get thick green goo coating his eyes - the vet prescribed very expensive drops for him. After I used the Rx drops up, I tried my purified water eye wash that I use since I wear contact lenses. It worked great - same results as the Rx drops (and a lot less expensive!!!!). Whenever he would have a flare up, I'd wash his eyes out a couple of times and he'd be good to go.
Daisy is adorable!
I'm not fully aware of what I am getting myself into, but I don't think there is any turning back right now.
