Happy Birthday to your Dad. My mom just had her 89th b'day. She cut her own grass and anything else she wanted to up into her 87th year. I hope we can all do as well.

I may have posted this pic before, but I thought I would again for his birthday. It was taken last year. Sadly, "Tater" (the one in the hat) has since passed away.

Friday I had my first soap order. Twenty bars of Sandlewood/Rose scented. I ask what kind he wanted and he said it didn't matter. So, I gave him an assortment of hemp base rebatched, clear glycerine, shea butter based and white glycerine. I double molded some, put his intial in one, made some with sea salt and even some glycerine sugar scrubs. I asked $3.00 per bar and will throw in a small discount for so many.

In one of the double molded, I suspended a white rose scented flower in clear sandlewood scented glycerine. Even my DS said it was pretty cool looking.

Now, I'm looking into the possibility of making my own soaps with lye. I've done alot of research and really it doesn't look as imposing as it once did. I have found a site that sells "No line soap molds" and they look pretty neat. Not really that much more expensive as wood molds.

I was researching lye retailers and found that Lowe's sells 100% lye as a name brand drain cleaner. Gotta go check that out next time I'm in town.

Great news on the soap order. You need to post pics of that double molded soap.
