you sure have to try on alot to find the perfect jeans! and when you have them, you live in them..haha

sounds like you are doing well---that is great!!!
Yeah, but I get disgusted after about 6 try ons. I wear the same 2-3 pairs of jeans whenever they are clean. I need more so they won't be reduced to threads by so much washing.

It smells like an Almond Joy candy bar, which is one of my faves!
You do have to be careful when coloring with cocoa however. One time I used too much and the soap, although it still cleaned as always but the BROWN suds could sure turn a person off a bit!

Today is such a beautiful day!! :love It's one of those days I wish I could jar up, set it on a shelf, then open it again when I wanted to. Sunshine, blue skies and temps in the low 70's.

DS said yesterday that he and his BF were not going to race tonight. They wanted to go to a truck show instead, plus it's going to be pretty much of a mud race. Last week, the track was under 6 ft of water.

So, with no other plans for the day, DH and I decided to head for the 411 Hwy. Yard Sale. Stopped at 2-3 places and got a couple of bargains. Then, at noonish, DH calls and said they decided to race because the truck show was pretty much a "no show". OK, change of plans. :barnie I guess we are going mud racing. ;)

We came home to get stuff ready to go. Instead of paying for concessions, I usually take something good to eat. Tonight, it's BBQ pork & beef sandwiches and crockpot dip. It will get pretty chilly when the sun goes down, so I'm taking the coffee maker for coffee, hot cocoa and hot cider.

It will be a great evening to spend at the track with my hands around a hot cup of cocoa.

ETA: my All Vegetable Carrot Soap and Coffe Soap came out wonderfully!! I put a little bit of ginger fragrance oil in the carrot and some vanilla in the coffee. I'm beginning to get the hang of it.

Saturday, when DH cleaned the chicken waterers, he noticed that "something" might be living in the greenhouse. :hide That "something" had burrowed through the french drain and into the pea gravels in the floor. Can't say that I blame it since it's sheltered and cozy there. We'll set a live trap and see what we get.

The race went well, DS won. It wasn't very muddy at all. We did see alot of weeds caught in the fence from when the water was so high.

Yesterday, DH and I decided to continue our trek up the Hwy 411 yardsale. Very few sellers were still out. We met DS at a local restaraunt for their Sunday buffet. Stopped a Tractor Supply to get layer feed for the girls, but they were out until Tuesday. DH is going to stop at another local feed store on his way home from work today.

Speaking of the girls, they must think it's winter already. They've dropped from 12-14 eggs a day to 7.

Today, it's 55 and raining. It's supposed to rain every day but Tuesday this week. I suppose Tuesday will be laundry day. Since it's ugly out, it would be a good day to clean the house up, . . . but who am I kiddin?

I am curious to hear what you catch in your greenhouse. I am not a fan of critters moving into to spaces that they don't belong in...I am a scaredy cat!

Your hennies are probably getting ready for their fall molt. Mine are doing the same - shedding out those old tired feathers for a new warm winter coat. :D

I hear you there. my 2 favs are looking like they are overworn also.
oh my, when they die I shall be horrified. I love, love, love, these 2 pairs--HAHA

yea I hate trying on anything also...but we all know jeans is a must try on. they are all so different! gotta get a good gal jean to look great! :)

edited to say I have the same weather. drizzly outside and laundry is piling up as usual. Nicole seemed to trash like 4 towels taking her bath. when she gets ahold of things I just wash, don't question..HA HA

I need a sunny day also. want to do blankets and pillow cases and sheets and all....but this weather stops all of that!

cruddy day huh?

This morning is overcast and 62. The skies should clear this afternoon and rain moves back in Wed. evening.

Yesterday, I did manage to get both bathrooms cleaned. :tongue I moved my curing soaps into my craft room. I got to thinking that the bathroom wasn't the best place for them to cure, with the humidity and all. I moved a bunch of stuff over the garage and did some organizing up there. I don't think I'll need to buy any more canning jars. Looks like I have about 20 cases of assorted sizes.

While up there, I filled another box with Goodwill donations. I have way too much stuff.

My "no line" soap molds and cutter came in yesterday. They hold about 2 lbs each and cut out about 7 bars each. Now, I will have pretty bars with much less waste. Well, not waste cause I use the scraps in body scrub bags.

Speaking of soaps, a friend came by yesterday to pick up donations for his DD's school's auction. I donated a Peppermint Refresher basket and some homemade canned goods.

As I passed through the kitchen a moment ago, I noticed 2 squirrels and a blue jay eating from Cocoa's food pan. Cute sight. They probably know that Cocoa and her buddy, Sammy make their neighborhood rounds this time of morning.

While at the Dr.'s Office with my DS, I came across an interesting article. (I forgot the mag.'s name). It was about a community in N. Carolina. There is a retailer that sells only locally grown or produced items. It's more than a farmer's market and it runs year round.

They have suppliers for beef (pastured cattle), free range eggs, local crops, goat cheese, fresh breads, etc. I'm sure there are alot of other items (I didn't get to finish reading)

If we lived closer together, just think of the suppliers we would have for hogs, eggs, breads, soaps, canned goods, clothing & accessories, cheeses, vegetable and fruits.

So, here is my idea. All of you move to within 30 miles of Athens, TN. I'll supply the store building. You bring all your products to sell and I'll keep a percentage (overhead, ya know). Of course, Bee will be in Customer Relations.

Kel, get those recipe books printed up.

I know, I know. But don't pinch me yet, I want to dream a while longer. :D
