:celebrate Good for you!!!

Sounds like you still have alot on your plate. But, the most important has been resolved, your kids.

Get a sheet of paper and write down the pros and cons of the 2 properties. That (along with alot of prayer) may help you make up your mind.

Awesome news about the closed case. Glad they are going to help keep the in laws away. I hope you find the right decision for everyone and it all works out.

:celebrate What a relief!!! That is awesome Aly that you passed with flying colors! Praise God!!

I must have missed it....is the property you live on now bought on a land contract from your in laws? I thought it was already your property free and clear....maybe I misunderstood.

OK something interesting we learned today about the former tenants of our new home....they moved 2 houses down! So, the former tenants are now our neighbors :/

Something else, they left their 4 cats there :barnie We went down to sweep out the back bedrooms and the kitchen, and we decided to make use of our "shower" hehehe...while we were there, these stupid idiot need to be shot cats were crawling ALL OVER my Jeep! Plus, I had left my windows down and they jumped right in on my leather seats! I was NOT happy.

So, we plan to trap those stupid cats and haul their sorry carcasses off...

Did I mention I am not a big cat person?
Right there with you on the cat thing!! They make my skin crawl!!

Aly,

My opinion on the house thing? You have worked SO hard on that place to make it what you want! I wouldnt let someone run me off! Also, its ALWAYS better to own your own land...instead of renting, if at all possible. I'd concentrate on getting that title cleared up and putting a well in, myself. Good luck! And you know i'm so glad everything is working out for you! :hugs

Whether or not to move was answered for us :/ The landlord rented the house he promised to us to a single mom with two kids last night.

I guess she must have needed it worse than we did. :)

Farmfresh, we do NOT get our water from my FIL's house. We go to a public spring now. We used to get our water up there, but we cut that off back in March.

The inlaws who reported us are the ones we had staying with us! They called the report in from TENNESSEE!! And apparantly they are now in A LOT of trouble for making a false report against us. Who knew? hahaha

FIL stopped in today to see how Ernie is getting along with his back! :th We didn't tell him about the CPS thing. Figured it was nonya... :gig He did ask if we had company earlier, so we said yes. Very nice company, too

Ya'll, I'm so relieved I'm almost HYPER!

We ordered pizza to celebrate. I think we're allowed. :) Especially since we spent our anniversary worrying and making sure everything was in order! :p

Great news on passing. Hope the Outlaws get in major trouble.
Somewhere along the line I missed the title problem. Is that an inlaw title problem or a long line of who owns/owned the property previously and never cleared up the problem problem?

I went through that long line of who owned what, when, where and how once. It was a total nightmare and finally took 2 title search companies and 2 different attorneys to get it cleared up.

Also went through an inlaws gave ex hubby property problem for a short period. He started working on that one a year before we married and I know a year after we divorced he was still working on it. His sister told me after we divorced that he finally got it taken care of. I think it took him a total of 5 years to finally get to court and win his case. He had been living on the property for over 13 years when the inlaws decided they did not want him to have the property any more and he needed to move. He rooted in and said no. He had not only been paying the taxes on his property but on theirs as well. End the end the judge told them that they were lucky he did not want to push the issue and claim their property as his as well. Apparently in the state of Mississippi if you have paid the taxes on property for 10 or 11 years (can't remember which), Its yours. Period. Something for you to check into in your state if you have been paying the taxes out of your pocket.

It's been a while since I had time to read people's posts. Wow Aly, you sure have had your plate full.
Seems like things are working out though. I am glad for you that they are. Now all you need is for someone to come and put that well in for you and pipe it to the house ;)
I think we should all focus our prayers and see if we can't arrange that for you. If the government won't help folks like you, then maybe a little group focus and goodwill will.
So tonight I will light a white candle and ask that a well and the proper plumbing will be provided to you by the end of the month.
I am sure my gods can work with yours ;)
ETA Hope my last statement doesn't offend you. It is not intended to, I am just affirming my own religion
