I know you are excited and I am excited for you.

And you are right, don't build anything until all the loose ends are tied.

We took the kids down to see the inside of the house. The landlord was there cleaning up the outside. The kids were super excited over everything, but they were especially excited over the tiny creek in the front and the big trees that the landlord said we can build a tree house in.

We took time to walk around and map out in our heads where we want to put the poultry pens, flowers, fruit trees, and next years garden.

I'm doing a massive downsizing to my waterfowl. I have to. The geese need a new home, the pekin ducks, a pair of rouens...

I am keeping my pair of Mandarins, my 3 call ducks, my 4 Welsh Harlequins, 1 pair of rouens, a trio of Mallards, my buff duck, and the two blue swedish.

I'll be going from about 30 ducks down to 17.

I'm planning to keep all of my bantams, maybe. It's too hard to choose among my bantams.

The only large fowl that are going are my BBS/Barred rock/Welsummer mixes, the red stars, and the New Hampshire Reds. Ernie said I can always get NHR's again later. They are leaving on Monday. Oh and Black Beard, my EE roo is leaving, too.

The rest of my poultry and my rabbits are all being moved to the new place.

I'm hoping that once we get tomorrow morning out of the way, then tomorrow afternoon we can at least go start sweeping out and mopping and lysoling the new house!

OH and another thing, our soon to be new Landlord said that if ANY of the outlaws show up at the new house and try to harrass us, just call him, and he'll take care of them!

OK something interesting we learned today about the former tenants of our new home....they moved 2 houses down! So, the former tenants are now our neighbors :/

Something else, they left their 4 cats there :barnie We went down to sweep out the back bedrooms and the kitchen, and we decided to make use of our "shower" hehehe...while we were there, these stupid idiot need to be shot cats were crawling ALL OVER my Jeep! Plus, I had left my windows down and they jumped right in on my leather seats! I was NOT happy.

So, we plan to trap those stupid cats and haul their sorry carcasses off...

Did I mention I am not a big cat person?

Well, wasn't sure if I had made it clear

Oh, and while we were there cleaning, the former tenants ran over and started going through the blue storage shed! There was NOTHING in there. The landlord had already come and cleaned everything up. Ernie said he thinks they just came over to be nosey.

Yea, our landlord (feels weird saying that!) said he's going to change the locks on the house for us. :)

Locks for the shed too, I would think, if you are planning on KEEPING anything in it.

ETA: Sounds like you have already gotten a good start!

ROTFL, well, if you saw this particular shed, you'd understand, locks would be useless. We're converting it into a chicken coop I think.
