Our company is coming from Ky and they are bringing me my new ferret, Chance, the shelter kid I think I mentioned we are taking in. They are also bringing us some dog food that was over stock (yay free dog food!) and a lot of ferret supplies that were donated to me for the fuzzies.

Chickens are doing great. Everyone has stopped laying. Elizabeth attacked my khaki Campbell duck hen. Oohh was I mad. Poor Baby was limping around and so stressed out from Bossy Elizabeth that we didn't think she would come out of it. She's doing better now.
How exciting to save another ferret! Are you sure you aren't starting a ferret farm? :D

Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth - such a bully!

Have Elizabeth or Louisa started laying yet?

hey glad you are around.

yea company coming is always a task...gotta get things straightened up and when we do, the little tornados destroy it again real fast don' they? LOL---why do we bother..HA HA

hey for the goat

if you are worried he might decide to ram you a bit.....your defense is this----take a stout stick in with you. Way to stop a buck is whack his horns. They can not stand the vibration thru the horns into their skulls.

My 250 lb. Boer buck was scary....I mean scary. So if he eyed me and decided to come after me I would whack those horns where he would back off....he had too. They can't handle that vibration. And whack like you mean it.

So that might save ya if you need it. AND IT MAKES them respect you. After doing that a few times, he would stop and think if it was worth coming near me....most times he did not! So I won!

hope some of that helps ya

let us know how you new ferret is when you get him!

Ahhh . . . getting another little master thief, are you? I hope he fits in with the rest.

Wow, you really got a haircut. Did you donate it or anything?

I know, you've got to clean before company and clean after company. It's all very time consuming.

My EE's have stopped laying, too. I suppose this is their "down" time. But, come spring, they better start popping those eggs out.

Yup another little household thief LOL They are worth it though. The chickens, well they are livestock (don't tell her Royal Highness I said that, she'll never forgive me!) the dogs (we are down to 2) are pets, and the ferrets are family HAHAHAHA

I went in the goat field by myself today. I had a bucket of grain. DH stood on the other side of the fence just incase I needed help. Elroy didn't bother me once! And I petted him again while he snacked on some grain. :) Pretty proud of myself.

Sergeant Pepper, our Silver Duckwing OEG likes to hang out in the goat barn. Each night he comes to us to be picked up and carried to the chicken coop to roost. Tomorrow morning when I go out to feed he'll come back out to the goat shed. Sadly, his mate Butter passed away. We aren't even sure what happened, but we did get them from the swap and no clue how old they actually are. Pepper has become lots friendlier since Butter's passing and much more dependant on us for companionship.

No, didn't donate my hair. I should have, but it didn't really cross my mind. I'll mention it to my friend for the next time I get such a huge chop off.

I'll finish this post off by showing ya'll a pic of Tiko. He's been with us for a week now and you wouldn't even know he was skin and bones. I'm sure he's put on a good pound since being here. He looooves romping and playing. He was war dancing and jumping all over the place today. This pic was taken last night after he had a treat of FerreTone. He loves this treat. He was actually coming towards me looking for more LOL

I don't have a lot to post about today. Sat on my butt all day at the computer....didn't do anything today worthy of SS :/

So I thought I'd post some cute pics of my fuzzy, Kodo, who has no purpose in life other than being a fun companion :p
