Well, Pam, lets just say I've lost some and added some and leave it at that. ;)

I just recently started not feeling too comfortable putting out there what I do and don't have.

You are welcome to come visit after you have your baby. That ten acres is still for sale next to us ;)

I'm sorry to hear about your puppy. It's good that action is being taken. Hopefully, the dog warden will never have another job with this responsibility.

Well I'm jealous of your clean house. I really need to get going around here. What I usually do is to deep clean before putting up the tree and other Christmas decorations and then do a good cleaning after they are put away. It will be another week here. For now, it's all I can do to keep the floors swept and clean. Between my DH bringing in firewood, all the barn stuff stuck to him, the dog and everyone else running in and out the floors are forever needing cleaning.

I have 2 bags of clothes from my DD that she cleaned out of her closet. I'd like to give them to someone that could use them rather than Goodwill. But, that's probably where they'll go.

Hope things are looking brighter for your family.

I always get tons of clothes for the boys, but I never get clothes for my DD! She's 9 and no one seems to have handmedowns for her. It's very frustrating.

I am baking corn bread for the chickerdoodles dinner snack. For lunch they had some shredded carrots and yogurt with scratch and a bit of flock raiser. ;)

Cornbread, yum.

I'd share the clothes with you, but my daughter is older - just turned 21. I snatch some of her hand-me-downs, but I'm not that slim anymore.

Baked homemade muffins this morning. Had more mixed than the family could eat, so I thought I'd give the chickerdoodles muffins for breakfast. With their scratch of course. They went wild for it! Monroe was beating everyone off the muffins LOL it was too funny.
 Some things never change

Today I am cleaning ferret cages and the livingroom and hopefully finishing my bedroom up and then the house should be nice and clean for the new year. Until Spring Cleaning that is.
What a great sense of accomplishment that always is! .... :thumbsup

The dog warden is in deep doo doo! One of the humane Society ladies adopted a pup from him, from the same litter as our pup we lost. That pup died from parvo! So they did some investigating and found that the dog warden first KNEW they had parvo and that he has been sending out pups with parvo quite frequently! The Humane Society has stepped in and shut down the pound and the warden is out of a job. They are also refunding the adoption fees and any vet costs to the people who got a puppy. We won't be getting a refund since he gave us the puppy, but he is still in a lot of trouble!

My step dad has to go for a colonoscopy and another friend of mine is waiting on biopsy results. I am hoping both turn out to not have cancer.
My brother (recently lost his job) said the best thing he can say about 2008 is.... it is FINALLY OVER! My DH has a leap year theory in his life. Ask him the leap year, he can tell you the disaster that befell.....

QA, You and your family have had a rough one!

HI ya'll, yes couple times I logged in but didn't get to post because something came up.

Kids got learning computers for Christmas and want to work on those for awhile. Sigh. They seemed to like those a lot. So I give them 15 minutes per subject on the computer every morning. Means they spend about 2.5 hours on lessons in the morning. In the evening we play with their critter families doing their little "town".

Have company coming this weekend. :D So been cleaning A LOT. Not that I expect them to be impressed if the house is clean or anything, just want it organized so it doesn't look like I'm living by the seat of my pants...oh wait.....lol

Our company is coming from Ky and they are bringing me my new ferret, Chance, the shelter kid I think I mentioned we are taking in. They are also bringing us some dog food that was over stock (yay free dog food!) and a lot of ferret supplies that were donated to me for the fuzzies.

Chickens are doing great. Everyone has stopped laying. Elizabeth attacked my khaki Campbell duck hen. Oohh was I mad. Poor Baby was limping around and so stressed out from Bossy Elizabeth that we didn't think she would come out of it. She's doing better now.

My DD and I got our hair cut. Neighbor did it for free. She's a licensed beautician so it's not sloppy cuts, either. We both got layered bobs. She took about 12 inches off my hair.

I've just about worked over my fear of Elroy, our buck goat. He's pretty aggressive and has had a habit of chasing me (read past goat sagas) but I made the decision to be the one to feed them everyday and they know it. Today, I climbed into the pasture with them and he allowed me to pet him while he was eating his grain....the key here is he was eating...lol but I am almost to the point where I think I could walk in the goat pen and be OK with Elroy. We've seem to come to an understanding...I think....

You have been busy. A clean house always makes me feel like I've accomplised something. Of course, ours doesn't stay in order for long. Now that your home is done, enjoy the company coming.

Crazy how some animals need to figure out who feeds them. You'd think they'd come by it naturally. Hope Elroy knows to behave himself now and it was just a phase.
