OMG Aly, your land is just gorgeous. So green and the trees are just beautiful.

So whats this about a root cellar? I must have missed that. Where is it and how big? Is it full yet? dirt floor? I want a root cellar!!!!!

ok, I'm better now. :D

You can't tell me E has not noticed that little goat. I bet hes just waiting to discuss it with you!!

It's not that green now! That was earlier this year when the trailer was first moved.

The root cellar is also our pump house. E wanted the holding tank under ground below frost level. So, they dug us out an 8x8 pump house that's 6 ft deep - so big enough for the holding tank AND for shelves for a root cellar later. For now, we've built a small shed around the holding tank, but next spring we're blocking up the walls.

Once all this blasted rain stops I'll get a pic of what it looks like right now and post it. I told E that the pump house would make just the perfect little chicken coop once we have the permanent pump house/root cellar done. He just rolled his eyes

We've got a heat light in the temporary "pump house" to keep the water from freezing.

And I really hope E is NOT waiting to discuss it. :gig Right now my biggest concern is that Becca might have called and - since E doesn't answer the phone - left some message on the machine, "I can't believe you got another goat..." Hmmm....mebbe I best skidaddle on home.............

That goat is so cute! And, I love the pics. I sometimes think that if I ever do get the land I want, I'm just going to get either a trailer, or a modular.

Great news about the "inspections". I hope they string him up!

As for that Halflinger ... count ME jealous. :love I am a hard core pony person. :D

What a beautiful pony!! Amish broke to boot! He should be able to really earn his keep.

You live in a beautiful place Aly! I bet you don't have any traffic noise either. And I bet it's hard to see the odd sign on you neighbor's house across the street :D
Our land is painted white right now. yep, snow - how appropriate for december 1. Excuse me for a moment while i :weee because i know how you feel about it :hide 'course we don't get nearly as much as you all do.

Thanks for sharing the pictures! What an exciting summer! Do you think you'll start feeling a little more settled this winter? Do you have a woodstove? That's my current wish :p. What do the kids think? Are they in love with the new place?
