Sounds like you have had a terrible horrible no good very bad week! Hope you are feeling better- and it is a good idea to drink more fluids when you empty, especially when you are sick. It is way too easy to dehydrate! There really is something going around that sounds like that- more than a cold and less than a flu.

{{hugs}} for the throwing up. That's got to be the worst! And I hope your roo heals up- some of those boys just are like pets (we have one, too).

Hope you are feeling normal and healthy again soon! You are truly blessed to have Becca so near. Poor Jett..... he is such a handsome fella, I can imagine his embarrassment at this situation.

:hugs

so we went to get the tire for the van today. when we got home, a second tire was flat on the van!!!!!!!!!!! :rant so instead of running back to town, and instead of putting on one tire, we're going to wait until we have the second tire and do both at once. Sure wish the second tire had gone flat before we left so we would have bought two!

i wanted to tell ya'll about some other things that happened this past week as well. I don't remember which night it was, but E and I both dreamed about the baby. I dreamed I had a baby girl by c-section with dark brown hair (I mean a head full of it!) and her face was red and scrunched up like she was about to cry. I was demanding the nurses put me in a rocker so I could hold her on my chest and rock her.

E said in his dream, I went into labor early and went so fast that they didn't get me to the hospital. I delivered at home, but somehow my doc was there too LOL He said I delivered normally, and the FIRST baby was a girl with dark brown hair, and the SECOND baby was a girl, too, but he couldn't tell me what she looked like, because he passed out :gig

I thought it was funny.

then last Saturday, E and I had this total "moment" in the kitchen while I was forcing myself to make dinner. Forcing myself because I felt horrible and didn't want E to make dinner. E was standing beside me with coffee as I was cooking. Now, I don't want ya'll thinking he's a bad guy, but it's taken him a bit longer than me to adjust to the idea of another baby, especially one that was in no way shape or form planned for.

He just out of the blue touches my belly and says with a impish smile, "I see a bump." and the way he touched my belly was well, almost in reverence??? So I glanced at him and asked, "are you going to love this baby?" and he smiles at me and said, "Yes, I'm going to love this baby. And I better start working on my attitude about it now, huh?"

I was so stinking happy I could have cried!!!

We've both taken to referring to the baby as "she" and stubbornly refuse to think of "her" as anything but a "she". Hopefully at the ultrasound next month, if they tell us differently, hopefully we won't be too disappointed.

Don't know about anyone else, but w/both of my children, I knew. I didn't want to be told the sex of either but even w/out that, I was sure my son would be a boy, and my daughter a girl.

My quick updates for now -

- I'm almost 100% over whatever it was making me sick (not pregnancy related!)

- E found some gold jewelry in the register vents of the old trailer - and we were paid a fair price for the pieces that were real!

- We're 16 weeks along now - and see the doctor this coming Wednesday. Should also be getting a date for that all important ultrasound to tell us sex!

- sold a goat

- sold all my rabbits!

- am pretty sure that I've decided to only work with BLRW, so after this springs breeding season will probably sell all chickens except BLRW, Spitz, and Sumatras.

- should be getting our first four calves this month.

- Am ready to sell my Sebbie Geese because that gander just oh so has to go!

- started a baby fund and am trying to save back XX amount of money for shopping trip we're planning to go on after ultrasound appointment.

and I think that's it.

OH! am SOO looking forward to garden hoses and kiddie pools this summer!

I THOUGHT IT WAS SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first, it rains all day yesterday and all night last night - and then this morning turns to SNOW?!

WHAT IS UP MOTHER NATURE'S BEHIND?!

OK i feel better having that out.

whew. deep breaths.

set a dozen BLRW eggs from my Foleys mixed with Paul's lines and have 100% fertility!!!!

put up my Sebbie geese for sale, may have one person coming to buy a single goose.

i've been at the library so long right now, that E's probably wondering if I'm ever coming home. lol

Baby Doc appt tomorrow at 2, and then they're supposed to let me know when to go to Canton for my Ultrasound in the next few days. Will be at least two weeks before that appointment though.

I hear you on the spring thing, we had a foot of snow on Saturday

What stuff do you still need for baby? We were very fortunate that my cousin's kids were all out of their baby stuff before our first was born and we got two huge garbage bags full of clothes and a pile of fitted cloth diapers. Then we had two wonderful baby showers, one family shower and one at church--people are very generous, and many people gave things that were larger sizes so that meant that some shower items lasted for almost 2 years!
