Cold is on the Right, Hot is on The Left
So this afternoon we went outside to make sure everyone still had water and/or freshened their water and E said if I kept them out of the garden, I could let the chooks out for some free ranging.
So I let everyone out, even the Marans, who weren't sure where they should go and hung fairly close to their own pen. It was like watching two groups of kids trying really hard NOT to interact with eachother out in the school yard
The chooks that had been here for awhile made a beeline for the woodline where most of the compost gets dumped. They had a grand ol' time digging for bugs and scratching around. Even though everyone had been fed in their pens early, they really enjoyed the 2 or 3 hours of free ranging they got today - and everyone was sporting pretty full crops at bedtime!
I took some fun pics of them while free ranging, and will try to upload them tomorrow.
Tonight, I'm tired. Heading to shower and going to bed.
