I spent long enough in the South to call people Hun alot. It came in handy since I'm bad with names.
I didn't use Sug, Sugar, or Darling but I heard them enough. I wouldn't call a guy Babydoll unless I was joking around with one of my gay friends. I don't think many guys would like it.

...........that maybe I should start packing mine and Baby Girl's Hospital bag??/
You don't have it packed yet!?? When is the big day? I had mine packed ( about 5 times over) a month before I was due. LOL I guess I am sorta anal about packing for hospital stays.

It sure doesn't seem to take much to bring on the water works here lately. :(

My youngest turned 3 on Thursday. We were going to do cake and stuff today, but none of the grandparents were able to come, and it was so hot I didn't feel like baking anyway, so we thought we'd just plan it for another day.

Then my mom sends me a FB message and says they got their check, have gas $ to come after all, and would see us this afternoon for Baby Boy's birthday! :duc So then I was all like :barnie NO CAKE and then I was all :hit NO CAKE and then I was all :rant don't say you can't come, wait till I cancel and say you're coming! and then I was all :hit NO CAKE and it's so hot I don't want to BAKE :barnie and then back to :hit

and then my FIL, who lives next door, comes over and I was all :hit please take me to the store? (we have no car right now)

So FIL ran me to the store and I got the makings for dirt cake and gummy worms to put in it - so then i was all :celebrate yay we have cake! and :ya no baking!

and now I'm all :hu :hide are they still coming??????

and that's just a summary of how my emotions are lately.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! and yes, here's a share of Dirt Cake for you! lol

FIL didn't make it back down in time for dirt cake, but while we were waiting for my parents to get here (and they did get here) our friend John came down - and he always makes a day brighter! even when he's not bringing goodies! :D But today he brought goodies! He brought us a dozen ears of yellow and white sweet corn and 4 HUGE sandwhich tomatoes! And he gave baby boy a couple dollars for his birthday!

Sooooooooooooo - it's still really too hot to cook, so for dinner tonight, we're having Sweet Corn on the cob and Tomato sandwiches! Except I don't think I want a sandwhich, I want cottage cheese with my tomato - YUM.

Anyhoo - went out on the front porch to clean the corn. Baby boy has been WOUND UP since his birthday. He got $5 and 2 shirts and a bag of gummi worms for his gifts - that's a BIG deal for a 3 yr old! So he's hyped up on too much sugar (I'm so going to regret it come bedtime but this kid has been tortued through 3 sibling birthdays and couldn't wait for his) and he was all fired up "I'm going to help you with the torn mommy!"

Daddy laughed and said, "It's Corn!"

baby boy "torn!"

daddy, "say kuh"

baby boy "kuh"

Daddy "kuh orn"

Baby boy "It's Kuh-orn mommy!"

so we all crack up and Baby born proceeds to copy me cleaning the corn - and didn't do too badly either. Couple times he said, "Help me, Daddy" so Daddy did.

The other kids by this time were outside playing on the swing, except DD, who wanted to read or something in her room. Oldest DS took the corn fodder and feed it to the critters. They loved it!

So FIL came back down a little bit ago, and we put on coffee to drink with him. Baby Boy says, "Papa! You want some of my cake! You want a piece of Kuh-orn?!" :gig

It was too cute to say no to! and then he says, "Thank you, Papa, for my shirt!" except he was screaming it at the top of his lungs LOLOL

So it started out kind of wonky today, but ended well.

OH, and my parents brought me a crib today - because they were all excited that they found a beautiful crib that wasn't a drop side crib.....um yea, it's a drop side. LOL But still much sturdier than the one SIL gave us, so we'll use it. Mom felt bad when we showed her it was a drop side, but E told her no big deal, he'll make it NON Mobile. :D

And that's how the day went.

I got some super cute pics of Baby boy in all his excitement and we were also outside for a bit and I photographed some of the young chicks - and the duck that thinks she's a chick - and one of the shots is of Jade, Jett and Gypsy's baby - but still not sure on gender yet. Will share those pics later tonight or tomorrow :)
