Dang lori...you got the short end of the stick!

Sorry QA, but she will be here tomorrow :p I miss homeschooling mine, for the simple fact that she got a better education. We just can't afford it right now, and the other options are just not up to par IMO. I couldn't homeschool more than a couple either though, so I DO understand where you're coming from on that.

Well, Dr. appt this afternoon. I'm sure Baby is NOT coming today :p - nice try Wannabefree!

Had to do my laundry this morning so I'd have something clean to wear. JUST got the older kids onto the bus and off to school.

Almost out of laundry soap, so will be making a batch this morning.

Need to shower and get dressed.

Sold MOST of my chickens yesterday. :) Whoop whoop! Should say, already had them sold but they were picked up yesterday. Right now, I have 9 chickens left that I'm keeping plus 4 young Marans that are going to their new home soon.

We also sold ALL of our turkeys. They are being picked up next week. Whoop whoop! :D

So our numbers animal wise are looking pretty good - and manageable! 9 chickens, 7 mallards, 2 muscovies, pair of geese, 2 cats (and their kittens - but we won't talk about that), 2 dogs, and one heifer.....no partridge in a pear tree although I do have 2 pear trees heehee

We are thinking about building a big hog pen and adding a couple butcher pigs. Ok, E's thinking about it - and I said that's all on HIM. I'm not feeding his pigs. I'll help butcher and eat 'em though! ;)

And wow if the hog prices around here are going up! We can't find piglets for less than $75 now, where we paid $50 for the ones last year. We're looking at maybe getting a pair to raise for breeding (later) so that we won't have to buy feeders each year.

Just think how great that smell will be to run the neighbors out!

She's comin QA...just wait for this afternoon

You sold a LOT of aminals!!! Good job, less to have to feed through the winter :D

I wish my hubs would demand some bacon makin on this farm...he doesn't want me gettin a pig :barnie I aint cookin no more bacon until I have some growing in the yard :rant It just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to NOT grow your favorite meat :hu

That is a high price for feeders. I can get them all day long for $30 and $40 a piece. Maybe I should buy a truck load and take a trip up to your neck of the woods to resell them

Nah...she won't come today...moon's in the wrong phase....

I am trying to convince hubby to do a couple pigs in the woods out back but he doesn't want any cause he says the kids are too small and he worries about the safety issues. Oh well, with bacon at $5-$7 a pound he's just gonna have to do without.

I hear ya on the poultry issues....I'm trying to get rid of 7 of my ducks....I have a lady that is supposed to let me know about some today :fl

Which breeds did you keep?

2 more chickens are leaving today. The coro split/light sussex roo and the columbian wyandotte hen. Whoop whoop!

Mom's coming over to get the kids off the bus this afternoon, as not sure I'll be home in time.

Beautiful pink full skirted dress size 3-6 months arrived for Baby Girl today :love Just the perfect little dress for a girl! It needs a matching hair bow! (which I have enough pink satin ribbon and swarvoski crystals, think I'll make it!) :D

Baby boy got a bottle of pancake syrup, filled a cup halfway full, took it to his bedroom to drink it/wear half of it, get some on the carpet and on the bedspread. I was in the shower - his dad was supposedly watching him. :he

My husband is getting on my nerves SO BAD today. I don't think he's even trying to. Just his sitting in the chair and turning on a light that DOESN'T NEED TO BE ON is irritating me to wanting to go find a big iron skillet :hide He's not usually this irritating, but today he is. Seems like he has a smart answer to everything I say today. :duc

I'm telling you girl, getting rid of all the carpet was the best thing we ever did with the kids and dogs.

I'm still here.

No baby today.

We're making it to September.

My parents are still here and my mom is on my last nerve - especially since every little thing has been irritating me today and the last thing I want to deal with is her drinking my coffee - that I haven't had a cup of yet - and her digging through my stuff - which she is doing right now. :somad Nosey wench!

I am measuring almost 38 weeks and my Dr. STILL will not change my c-section date to the 12th instead of the 19th. SHE thinks I'm not due until the 24th. In her mind, I'm only almost 37 weeks instead of almost 38 weeks. OH, and she said she wants baby girl to be born on the 19th because she thinks that's a cute birthday 9-19 ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??? ANY DAY THAT SHE GETS OUT OF ME WILL BE A CUTE BIRTHDAY.

:duc :smack

I'm extremely cranky.

Time to get romaine lettuce and eggplant - because supposedly this induces labor? I'll wash it down with raspberry tea.
