Ok so we moved into this new trailer and still not a lot of storage, so we organized some stuff into totes and put them in the master bedroom, even tho we made that DD's room. All of mine and E's stuff were in totes, stored on "our" side of the room and we told DD NOT to touch it.

We figured once we had the new room built on DD would move out there, and we'd go through the stuff.

Well, we moved out there instead.

And DD has not listened. She has rummaged through ALL of our stuff, broken some of it, stepped on some of it, USED some of it without permission - AND I WAS HOT.

So now we've spent the whole afternoon cleaning out our stuff and picking through what we want to keep, what isn't salvageable, and threatening to ground her for a million years.

At this point, she has lost the right to participate in the free membership at the community center for at least the first week.

:rant :somad

OK, she can come out now!

My parents showed up today and said, "Ready to go carseat shopping?" :th

They took me shopping and purchased a brand new travel system for Baby Girl! It was great, and I was surprised that they showed up today to go shop for it!

Then, they got a little crazy. Mom insisted I get the matching diaper bag, and my step dad refused to leave town without something for baby girl that says, "I love Grandpa."

He didn't find anything like that at Kmart, but he found a pack of bibs he liked and mom found The Incredible Mr. Limpet in the $5 dvd bin - so she bought one for herself and one for DS2's birthday party.

So, since he found nothing at Kmart, he insisted we go to Walmart to look for something relating to grandchildren and grandpas. They had almost nothing! He finally settled on a pink blanket with a flower and a butterfly on it for $3 and asked if I'd embroider something pertaining to grandpa's on it. I said sure. He also found a Disney Princess hat that he liked and decided she needed that, too. As we were leaving the baby department, he found another end cap with bibs hanging off it. The LAST bib was orange with 2 crabs on the front and underneath the crabs said, "I love Grandpa."

So that meant he had to find her an orange outfit to match  She now has a neon orange dress, with a neon orange bib with crabs on it LOL!

Then we browsed the clearance racks and found a onesie that says "I'm Made in America" for $1. So I bought 2, one that will fit her now and another in a bigger size for later.

Then it was on to the pet department, because mom said she needed things for the dogs and cats. That didn't go so well, because mom wanted to pay a higher dollar for sturdy, won't get destroyed so easily dog dishes, and my step dad thought it was too much $.

No joke - they were actually arguing over dog bowls. :gig

I walked 2 aisles down to look at hair stuff and kept my mouth shut! :D Best to stay out of it. :)

They finally got that worked out and we headed for the check out for home.

And, Grandpa (my step dad) gave each of the kids a little cash gift! They went wild with excitement! Even 3 yr old baby boy got the same amount as his older siblings! Not a huge amount by any means, but it is to the kids! So I told them they could choose to save it or spend it, or save some and spend some. We had them put the $ up for now and told them to take a few days to think about it. I can't even begin to imagine what they must be dreaming of doing with it :D

OK, I'm awake because I heard a chicken screaming - started outside to see what was up, and I saw 2 yellow eyes staring at me so I said E get out here something big is out here! next thing I know, those 2 yellow eyes are RUNNING AT ME! I start screaming for E, turn to run to the house, & I fall down, dropping my flashlight. I scream for E to help me, because I'm pretty sure it's a bob cat or something, so scrambling to get back up, fall down 2nd time, finally get up & in the house. So scared, can't talk. Shaking from head to toe.

I had to sit down and try to calm down, and E was asking me what happened, where's your shoes and flashlight?

Me: out-s s s s ide.

I'm not kidding. I was shaking so bad, I thought I was going to shake my kid out.

E finally tells me, I think it's Earnhardt (our dog!) because none of the animals were carrying on, and Zoe was barking her playful bark.

Yes, folks, I ran from my own dog.

So we walked out to check on the chickens - and discovered that when E had told the kids to close up my barn last night THEY DIDN'T DO IT. My BLRW cockerel is now MIA and two of the 4 Marans that I was holding are now MIA and the Maran Cockerel has his back tore up. :( Their little pen that they were kept in was shredded to bits!! One entire wood wall ripped off their box!

Problem is, don't know if MY dog did it, or something else. :(

Crappy way to start my morning.

E can't stop laughing over my panicked run/fall from our own dog. He WAS coming to my rescue, I just managed to get inside the house first :D

You aren't doing much to dispel the "women always fall down and scream in horror movies right before they get eaten" stereotype! :gig

Haha, Wife! :p

I would like to point out that I didn't scream at FIRST. I screamed when it (my dog) ran for me. I screamed when I tripped over the ladder that caused my fall - and then I screamed when I slipped in the wet grass and fell again. I abandoned my shoes and flashlight to get into the house. I really thought I was about to become something's breakfast!

Yes, I'm Ok, but feeling kind of embarrassed.

And it did NOT bring on labor. Which I had thought, "oh no I hope I don't go!" and next thought was "at least we have the car seat now..." lol

QA, as I replay that scene in my mind, I have to giggle...altho a falling pregnant woman is never good! I can just imagine the dogs thoughts.....WAITE, where are you going. im here to help! LOL I am sorry to hear about the loss of the chickens. I sure hope it was NOT your own dog...however, if it was something else, wouldn't your dog alerted you? Like you, I would have FREAKED at yellow eyes running towards me. I just learnded the other day, there was a panther escaped from a traveling circus or something around here, and was nevr recovered. AND, we DO have bobcats! No more after dark trips outside for me. Nope, I am NOT going to become cat snacks! BE CAREFUL out there.
