:hide Hope it gets better for you soon.
:p It will. It always does. And it's not that bad, I'm just hot and cranky, so most of it's probably ME lol

The kids threw a bunch of sticks in the yard, thought we had picked them all up - rather we made them pick them up - but they missed one and E didn't see it. Now the blades on the lawnmower - our NEW lawnmower - are shot. *sarcasm* yay

I have a tale of frustration today, too. ;) But, I won't get into that now...

Went to Hartville this morning - lots and lots of homemade baked goodies there, I saw a row of pies and chuckled, wondering how you were dealing with the heat. When the DW was 2 weeks shy of the eldest being born, she would soak in a cool tub of water (it was 95+ for a week), she was afraid she was going to "cook" the baby....

Friday would be a great day for the little one to come into the world, just sayin'...... ;)

LOL!! I'm happy for her to come ANY day! :D

I am NOT baking this weekend. TOO hot. And the way today went, I'd probably burn the house down :gig

I did make a big batch of laundry soap today.

Can you believe the 25 degree drop predicted over the next 48 hours? There will have to be a thunder boomer or two in our near future.....

We grilled out :) Local store had 88 cent hot dogs. Yes, I know, not that healthy, but we wanted to have a weiner roast :p

We totally deserved it since today felt like it was a year long! LOL

Invited FIL down and he ate a couple hot dogs, too.

Fed the kitties our left overs. THEY loved the hotdogs!

Kids ate a TON of potato salad - now they are all crashed out in their beds (super tired after mom's screaming 6 am wake up call :gig )

E is in the shower and I'm hopping in when he's done!

Big scheduling mix-up here. Oh well, I got a batch of salsa done, the kitchen more or less cleaned up, plus three loads of laundry done. I hope DW appreciates it when she gets home....

I'm really looking forward to tomorrow morning, when I can change the day to 14 days  I KNOW that's crazy and silly! The best way to count it downn - I only have 2 more doctor visits before we have our baby! WHOOP!!

So far this morning I've been picking up and organizing things a little bit. The baby stuff has flooded into the livingroom, my room, the bathroom, laundry room, a little into the kitchen (high chair) and yesterday E said the baby gear/furniture/clothes are taking over the house. :p So DD and I are working on getting MOST of it into a semblance of organized, either in my room or in my "corner" of the livingroom where we've set up the bassinet for day time use.

I need to get the crib bedding on the crib and organize the changing table in a sensible manner so things are handy and easy for me to grab when needed.

So here's how my checklist for baby looks so far:

carseat - check
baby's hospital bag packed - check
crib ready - check (just needs bedding on it)
bassinet ready - check
chair to rock baby - check
Mom's bag packed - not yet, but suitcase is waiting :D
diapers - check
wipes - check

I do believe that covers the basic necessities :D

On my to-do list today?

clean kitchen - half done
pick up livingroom
organize my bedroom
make sure kids have their rooms clean
have a b-day party
(mom's coming for that, & if I bribe her with food and coffee, she'll help with clean up! Just have to remind myself to accept the help, & make a conscience decision that she's NOT in the way!)
get more laundry washed
mop kitchen and laundry room floors
sweep all carpets
wet vac bathrooms & livingroom

Sure seems like a long list - but I KNOW it can all be done in a day with the kids all pitching in. They just won't like it. LOL But, they'll be exhausted by tonight, will hopefully sleep in tomorrow, and my house will be virtually spotless for a day (or two).

:p
