I have been considering working more hours, but staying home to garden and do other things can be just as important some times. Wishing you success in working from home!

Thanks! My sister thinks it's a doable business for me and she's wanting to do the craft shows with me if I can get to that point with my soaps. I've only been playing with the melt and pour soaps. I've never made cold process before so it will be interesting.

Beekissed, you provide such a valuable and very under appreciated service. We have a similar service here, the VON - Victorian Order of Nurses, and they were such a blessing for us when my mom was sick. We had them over on and off the entire time I was growing up but mostly during the last few years of my mom's life when her scleraderma (spelling??) was getting worse. They became a part of our family and we still exchange Christmas cards even 6 yrs later.

Pam, I can't wait to see pictures of the outfit!

Even then, my first love is farming. I will never be satisfied until I'm on the land full time.
It'll happen. You'll know when the time is right. Right now it sounds like you are filling a very important niche, while at the same time you are gaining the important skills to launch into more farming. Having time to learn and make mistakes before you do it full time will give you a great base of knowledge, which should make you more successful.

Farmerlor -- I have to laugh because it seems like every time I invite people over it snows really good. I love to watch it snow, so you can imagine how I feel about cleaning house and all that while it is snowing outside. :tongue

breconbcs -- craft shows are fun to work in . . . the temptation though, is to buy other people's work. LOL What I like about soap-making is that the product is utilitarian, but can also be very artistically done. Have fun!

Well, you guys, this has been a fun thread. I enjoyed everyone's input! It is supposed to be nice here this weekend (finally) so I think I will be getting some gardening done! I hope everyone here has a great weekend and some time to enjoy the weather and/or some really nice home-cooked food! Take care!
