Welcome to journaling!

As I was advised shortly after joining, revel in being the oddball. I've come to understand & accept that being "normal" is not very useful to the SS lifestyle :D

Hi Rebecca! So nice to get to know you. Don't let those nincompoops get you down. You do what is right for you and your family, and when those poopieheads start paying your bills, they can have an opinion. Otherwise, love your life and be grateful for every rotten minute ! Something better is coming, just you wait and see !

Thanks everyone, I thought about bringing the neighbors eggs, but right now I really don't think that would be a good idea. Maybe after we get the place cleaned up a little better. I have envisioned in my mind a new coup like I saw on BYC, a deep-freeze(or barrel) of fish providing fertilizer to my raised garden. And companion planting with flowers to reduce pests. A couple of milk goats in the back. The fruit trees my dad planted trimmed and neat. Roses along the fence by the road, and strawberries in raised beds along the front of the house. I think if I make it all look cute, then they will be more accepting of the idea. Maybe I could paint the deepfreeze to look cute? Who knows?
Back to real life.....I just found a leak from the bathroom that has soaked our bedroom floor. On to worry about more realistic things like finding a leak!
I also got my first order of seeds in today. Red seeded watermelon, peanuts, and bell peppers. Hopefully the rest will be in soon. I got them from the germoplasm website I saw on BYC. I also recieved a note that they had come in contact with viruses and had to be treated before planting. :/
Okay now I am going to try to get a nap in before work tonight.
See ya,
Rebecca

Well, i worked overtime the last two nights, now I am pooped. But today we moved the rabbits and my dh and ds built them a shed in a shaded spot where they will be cool. And we also moved the metal shed where the chickens new home will be. All out of the sight of the neighbor. Then I went to the dollar store to pick up a few things and they had all seeds, and seed kits for 1 cent!!!!! So I got all but two kits. Then I got to the register and went to pay and discovered I had forgotten my debit card. They weren't very happy, but the said they would hold my stuff while I rean home to get it. Well, I found it on the table where I had left it and went back to pay and my stuff was gone!!! The boy at the register had forgotten to put it behind the counter and someone picked up my stuff with theirs. All my seeds! Well I bought the two I had left behind and hurried out, because now they really weren't happy. I finished my shopping elsewhere. Well I at least got a window herb garden kit and a window flower kit- for a cent each!

No kidding. I added it to my list too!
LOL...I was thinking the same thing!

That is always so awkward to be up at the register and realize that you can't pay! It seems to happen to me at least once a year and I always feel like such an idiot!

For all who want to check their stores, it was Dollar General. I told my dh when he went to work today to stop at a couple and see if they had the same sale going on. I just got in from framing my raised bed terrace whatever garden. One side is about 1 1/2 ft high and the other about 6 inches since it is on a steep slope. I am making four square 12x12 beds with a walkway between them kinda like a big square made with four little squares. I am using some old trash cans out of the condos(they DO NOT look like trash cans, just round pails) and are bout 15 in. tall for the backs so I can plant flowers in them and out of the garden. The sides I will do with concrete blocks and wood. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I will have the money to order some red worms and euro worms for composting. Today we are hopefully going to haul off some junk, we have one truckload ready and another pile ready to be loaded. isn't that pitiful!
