Old rims, tubed steel, sprockets. Just about everything can be repurposed into good useable items. A personal favorite of mine is to make outdoor pots for plants.
Nice job, CJ. One of the things I have been trying to do more and more of is when I see things discarded is try and brainstorm and imagine how the discarded item can be repurposed.
If you have access to heavy truck brake drums, they make good grills. Just put legs on, and weld a few pegs on the inside and cut expanded metal to fit.
The tank from hot water heaters make good BBQ pits. I have one on legs that has wheels on one end, handles on the other end to pick up and move from place to place.
You have a talent for making useful scrap items, keep it up!
Thank you. I bought most of the iron for my grill. But when I make wheels for it so we can haul it around easier it'll mostly be junque iron.
But my next project is going to be a rocket stove that I can put in my boys tour pack for when we go camping. Something similar to this. But a little smaller.
Rocket stoves are awesome! We had a small, very basic one and it was so lovely as back-up when we couldn't use our electric stove due to power failures.
