Doesn't your SSI get deposited on the same day every month...? (*scratches head & looks puzzled*)

And at least you got lotsa yummy cookies to tide you over! :drool
That IS what we thought would happen. :idunno I guess we should not have depended upon it.

Full time active duty? Because in 17 years and not once has our pay been late, it is deposited before the actual day if it falls on the weekend, or exactly on the day if during the business week, just saying it may be her bank not the pay system.

SavingDogs good luck on your surgery, I hope you get healing results :fl

We made the mistake of changing bank accounts while I was applying. That has caused a lot of confusion. And it is a problem that I can't call and speak to them, and that I can't drive. They are very protective of a spouse/family member controlling my money and insist on speaking to me personally. I appreciate them looking out for people in this fashion, but holy cow, it makes it hard to contact them, I have to be driven in there just to ask a question. We are sure hoping the next installment we are supposed to receive arrives, if not we will be in big trouble. We paid up some bills and stocked up on food which seemed like a really good choice but not if they don't send the next amount. I tell you, I'm getting really tired of all these money problems, especially when we are supposed to have more now.
However, we do have a full stock of food now and we didn't before, so at least I can eat healthy. And I have been feeling more decent because of it. I know this surgery will throw me for a loop and I'm prepping the family to expect me to be 100 percent bedridden for awhile. The goats are drying up so I think this is a good time for Trouble to be in charge of milking. He never seems to get all of the milk out, so that would be okay right now. And milking is the only task that I'm the only one who usually does it, so they should manage fine. They are unfortunately used to me being out of it and cooking for themselves and doing their own laundry. I'm more the Director of Household Affairs than the Do-er of all Household duties.

Since I work for the gubmint, I also only get paid once a month, on the last work day. So if the 31st happens to fall on a Sunday, for instance, we get paid on Friday. :D HOWEVER...a person in HR once told me it depends on the bank, when their closing time is, etc.

I am sure that all makes it more difficult. Like I said earlier my SIL has changed duty stations a lot due to his job. Every time there is a change my D1 has her insurance messed up and they can almost count on a delayed check. It is like he has to fill everything out all brand new each time and things like bank have stayed the same.

Still. Hopefully once they get your info straight maybe things will smooth out again. I am glad you are planning ahead for lots of rest after the surgery. That will get you back to 100% in no time! :D

My bank was inept. That was the issue. LOL. They kept bouncing back the deposit.
