That IS what we thought would happen. I guess we should not have depended upon it.i_am2bz said:Doesn't your SSI get deposited on the same day every month...? (*scratches head & looks puzzled*)
And at least you got lotsa yummy cookies to tide you over!
Full time active duty? Because in 17 years and not once has our pay been late, it is deposited before the actual day if it falls on the weekend, or exactly on the day if during the business week, just saying it may be her bank not the pay system.Farmfresh said:Good old government pay schedule strikes again. :/ I can't even begin to tell you how many times my SIL's military pay has been late or once NEVER showed up at all!!
YUP Full time and Active duty. Seems he has big problems every time he moves to a different base.sufficientforme said:Full time active duty? SavingDogs good luck on your surgery, I hope you get healing results
Since I work for the gubmint, I also only get paid once a month, on the last work day. So if the 31st happens to fall on a Sunday, for instance, we get paid on Friday. HOWEVER...a person in HR once told me it depends on the bank, when their closing time is, etc.Farmfresh said:Good old government pay schedule strikes again. :/ I can't even begin to tell you how many times my SIL's military pay has been late or once NEVER showed up at all!!
I am sure that all makes it more difficult. Like I said earlier my SIL has changed duty stations a lot due to his job. Every time there is a change my D1 has her insurance messed up and they can almost count on a delayed check. It is like he has to fill everything out all brand new each time and things like bank have stayed the same.savingdogs said:We made the mistake of changing bank accounts while I was applying. That has caused a lot of confusion. And it is a problem that I can't call and speak to them, and that I can't drive. They are very protective of a spouse/family member controlling my money and insist on speaking to me personally. I appreciate them looking out for people in this fashion, but holy cow, it makes it hard to contact them, I have to be driven in there just to ask a question.
