hey baby! all ramped up for a merry merry?

:)

i meant to tell you that i LOVED the pic of your bear dog! wow! if she ever wears out her welcome you just let me know
;-)

my bear killer is currently working on two "polar bears" (our big white dogs) ... i think she is winning. at least. they are letting her THINK she is winning. she's playing with Dog#1 a lot more. and has figured out that she can grab him by the collar - not by the fur/skin - and just hold on. he just plows on with her hanging off. its hilarious.

merry merry from all these woofs to you and yours!
:)

We are hoping for a nice albiet non-traditional holiday here. We are all home today and tomorrow we all go to my moms. Our branch of the clan is going early, me to cook, and we should still have about a dozen of us (even with my brother and sister absent this year) by the end of the day, with assorted boyfriends and such. We are having tamales and albondigas soup with refried beans and spanish rice. No, we are not hispanic but we ARE from California......I actually suggested the menu because it is my turn to cook and this is the best meal I make. Also cheap, filling and yummy and everyone attending loves this kind of food.

We went looking for a big ol' turkey pan at the Goodwill yesterday (we found some turkeys on sale cheap) and found me a pair of Muck boots.....I feel so blessed. They were totally affordable and so necessary and are my absolute perfect size although I think they are for young boys, but who cares? I have boyish feet. They were not on the shopping list but we got them anyway. I was walking around in them wistfully and somehow they ended up jumping into the cart. I can almost not wait to tromp around in mud. I never in my wildest dreams as a child thought I'd be happy to get used mud boots for Christmas and be so happy about it. :D I guess the exciting thing about life is that it never stops changing!

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday! May the spirit of the season be upon you and may God Bless!

Congrats on the muck boots! I'm looking for a nice pair of cold weather boots and so far nothing. But my kids have Land's End snow boots that are the best kid's boots I have found - I might order a large size boy's pair for myself someday
Your meal sounds wonderful! Enjoy your family time :)

Congrats on the boots! I'm probably going to be bringing mine home from the farm tomorrow. They're calling for up to 12" of snow! And, I've found that my muck boots are the best thing to wear (on my feet) when the snow is that deep.
