Yay on the disbudding! I'm so glad you found a solution.

They keep emptying the dang feeder! Their hay consumption seem to have more than doubled....I keep telling him he is putting hay out for our mini-herd, not just three goats.
Ain't it the truth!

I'm going to give disbudding a try myself this year. I watched a few get done and did our bull calf myself. He ended up with some scurs, but just minor ones compared to the horns he would have had. My friend has an X30 she said I can borrow any time I want - We have yet to find someone really local to us that does it for that cheap! I paid the vet $96 to have my 2 doelings done! Of course, that was with them sedated...

12 years experience disbudding Lg. numbers of goats. Very caring and experienced. $15ea. kid. And a little more for gas depending on where you live and how many you have to be done.

I'm actually about an hour + drive from this person, so I may have to take them to him. That would be okay too.

Is anyone else noticing the hay feeder is on the backside of the stall door? How cool is that!

I can't get that site to open. My computer is a dinasaur. I'll try this evening on my hubby's computer when he gets home.

They're having to go in and take a look. It seems to be taking a while

I sure hope it happens soon, though - that doe looks tired!

SD here's another way to try it - it's www.marestare.com

Then you click on the live cam link at the top and go down to the P's - click on Phoenix Rising and it'll open up the camera.
