Anyone ever use Golden Harvest lids? Seem to have good reviews. I don't typically use anything but Ball or Kerr.
All good. Yes, Dollar General only carries this brand. But never see wide mouth ones there. However, my mgrs will save all I want for me😁. Plus my DGD stocks at WalMart at night. I can have her get things that are in short supply, if night shift has them -- and she gets her discount on stuff  gotta network!

Inflation. Watch quarterly profits reports...yeah we're inflating too many pockets. :old There's gouging happening out there, too.

That said...I'm ready to plant, can, freeze and laugh at them all. Keeping more of my money in MY pocket.

No doubt the shortages are from so many things....people sick or quitting, drivers, warehouse, stores, all over every aspect of supply. It trickles on down. Schools close, many working moms have to stay home.....yep, I see it in stores everyday I work. Many altered hours, etc.

I was at my kids’ doctor’s office yesterday and it was scary- half the staff was out, they’re barely capable of getting people in for blood draws and X-rays, I was uncomfortable being there and I won’t be taking any risks of doing things that will land us in the ER… that’s for sure.

A 7% rise in inflation for the month of December 2021, haven't seen that since the Jimmy Carter years-the worst President this country ever saw............

The annual inflation rate in the US accelerated to 7% in the last month of 2021, a fresh high since June of 1982, in line with market expectations and compared to 6.8% in November. Energy was the biggest contributor to the gain but the rise was smaller than in November (29.3% vs 33.3%), with gasoline prices surging 49.6% vs 58.1%. Inflation accelerated however for shelter (4.1% vs 3.8%); food (6.3% vs 6.1%), namely food at home (6.5% vs 6.4%); new vehicles (11.8% vs 11.1%); used cars and trucks (37.3% vs 31.4%); apparel (5.8% vs 5%); and medical care services (2.5% vs 2.1%). Inflation spiked in 2021 due to pandemic-induced supply constraints, soaring energy costs, labour shortages, increasing demand and a low base effect from 2020. Inflationary pressures are likely to last well into the middle of 2022 and Fed Chair Powell recently pledged to do what’s necessary to contain an inflation surge including increasing interest rates. source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics

Wife scored a case (6 - 1/2 gallon jars) at Menards of all places... She won't do golden harvest, I don't ask why. Some things are best answered with silence.

Menards usually has a good selection of canning stuff, just don't have one relatively close
She said that was the last case of 1/2 gallon jars else she would have bought them all. Your right, you can find most anything at Menard's it's crazy. But what I like most about Menards, they seem to have a Made in USA option for most tools, saw blades, drill bits, router cutters and the like.
