Signs of spring in your area?

Spring has arrived here. Wild Leeks or Ramps are up and nearly big enough to use. I've been so busy that I didn't know they were up in the woods.
Wild Leek soup is a spring tradition in our house. And, oh, the breath!
Let's just say it's a good that we both love it.

Tell me more about wild leaks, I wonder if they grow in my area? I'm going to go research and find out, be back for the soup recipe:>) LOL!

For the soup I use the whitish part not the green leaf, though edible. Dh also eats raw like green onions.

The ducks and geese NEVER leave here! We has Canada goose poo around each and every little pond YEAR ROUND. We even have geese with hatchlings in tow marching down the side of the road.

Ticks we need you and your hunting ways! All of these mamby pamby city folk. People around here actually have feeders for the geese and the deer as well. The geese know when they have it good. They are beautiful - but not in hordes!
