Cool. Nothing wrong with going natural. The chemicals they put in hair dye are scary anyway. :hide

I'm lucky, my hair is such an ashy blonde colour naturally that you really can't tell where the greys are... I do only have a few so far :)

I mourn the loss of any man's ponytail. :th

If it had been possible to be a Reagan republican - slash - hippie, that would have been me. (Graduated 1969) I was one of those "Jesus People" with the long hair, long flowing dresses, and guitar, sitting in a meadow eating tofu and singing "Jesus songs".

Grew older, never grew up. Wish I could fit in those dresses still !!!

Well, as long as they aren't like the ones I just posted about earlier..

Do hippies come in my age now-a-days? :bun
Just how old ARE you Blackbird?

As far as old hippies goes? I am 56 y/o (graduated in 1972!) I just took off my ponytail last year, :th but I am STILL a hippy at heart.
After all these years, I finally got tired of the maintenance part of long hair.

Me, too. It surprised everyone, because I was Lucy red for ten years. Now it's dishwater and gray, and getting long enough to braid. Can leather sandals and macrame headbands be far behind?

Me TOO! :D I'm loving it! Although I don't call it grey....I call it silver! :)

I caught a lot of flack for it at first, from family and friends. They just don't understand why I would want to let it all hang out.

I tried but was unable to explain to them that I grow more and more unable to pretend to be something I am not. This is me....just how God intended me to be and it ain't so bad! I'm really at a stage in my life that I just want to be natural and be myself for once.

I'll let myself go gray or silver when it happens. Naturally dark blond anyway so it wont make much difference even.
When gray hairs and some wrinkles come, I think they are signs that you've really lived.

WOW! I must have I REALLY lived.

Next time someone ask me why I don't dye my hair and wear makeup I am just gonna tell them I am letting my Life shine through.

Thanks dragonlaurel. I really like that.

I started going gray a long time ago, but I never let it bother me. Being the smart arse that I am at times, and back when I still had my ponytail, I popped into the hair dressers chair, and as she was putting the towels around my neck, she asked what I wanted done. I told her to "just trim out the gray ones". She looked me right in the eyes and said "Darlin'....I ain't gonna be here THAT long!"

So I checked out the site and there are 3 guys in my area.
2 are a bit (way) too old for me and the last I already know & despite having a lot in common, well, I rather be poked in the face with a sharp stick.

Looks like I'm safe and don't have to shave my legs for a while longer!
