Nice buck! We're done here for the year....I would have liked to have gotten another doe for some ground meat but it just wasn't meant to be. I only got one this year, hubby got one and a friend killed a big 'ol doe and gave it to us or we'd be hurting right about now. I shot at one and missed her....grrrrr. I know lots of people are complaining that they haven't gotten deer this year so I am thankful for what we did get.

Sounds like your classes are going well....sore muscles are a good thing right?

And I think I have a serious case of bow envy right now!

I think I am in love with my generator. :love Here it is, 4:30 am Saturday morning, and we are on generator power. I heard the alarm go off an about 30 seconds later the gen set started up and switched power on. I have no idea what happened yet, but it sure is strange to look out and not see a single light on at any of the neighbors houses. If we are still on generator power in a couple of hours, I'll go get Dixie(our elderly neighbor to the North) and bring her over. The other two closest neighbors have wood heat so they should be fine for awhile.

Almost 6:30 and the power just came back on. I have to remember to check the oil in the genset sometime today. I haven't done that since the beginning of November when I changed it last time.

Sweet! I bet your neighbor is appreciative too!
We try to keep an eye On Dixie. She is almost a mother to us. I bought this place from her mom and dads estate so there has been a connection between the two properties for a very long time.

You're a kind man, SKR8PN. Wish I had a neighbor like you! :)

Whoot!!! Good for you! Does Dixie know your plan is to bring her to your house? That would be very comforting to know someone is looking out for you.

Very good work!!!

Only on SS would a thread be titled "generator love fest" without something nefarious inside :gig
